Dunno if this is "Small News" or "TV and News Articles" really (and dunno whether we have even discussed it much on here)
But Blackpool's BIG DIPPER is 100 years old today.
BBC Breakfast this morning;

(some fab old pics on that report - I can never get enough of the pics of it just sitting on the sand)

EDIT : oh no, its got UK-thoosies as talking heads (as well as the usual hire-a-talking-head people who have just been shown the video of what they are talking about (eg Rob Bell) )
EDIT2 : yeah a lot of the program is just people talking over/about various viral-videos from the last few years (lot of slingshot rides
) - so not very insightful.

I managed to watch it this evening.
It’s always fun to see theme parks on TV, but as theme park TV programs go, it was on the weaker end of the spectrum for me. It seemed like it was mostly random celebrities reacting to recent viral videos of theme parks, and I didn’t learn an awful lot from it.
Surprisingly given the program title, it also seemed like half of the “incidents” shown weren’t even incidents. The quiet theme park in Dubai, the theme parks in Nepal and Uzbekistan and the boy bawling his eyes out on Minifigure Speedway, for instance, weren’t even incidents.
