Särkänniemi | 100M euro expansion | including new family coaster

Särkänniemi in Finland will be changing quite a bit, they have approval to begin work on a 100M euro plan for the park.

This plan includes the new coaster, entrance, hotel, an indoor water park and maze or dark ride.

The project will start in 2023

Looks like a nice project. The area really needs an update. I really wonder where they are going to put the park's parking lot now. The plans also look like they are considering a cable car connection to the city center, perhaps a logical step: no parking lot needed.

Can they please put some shade in while they're at it? Lmao jk, it seems like a good update. But for real the park is in serious need of some basic upkeep and shade, as the park is 90% cracking asphalt and on +30c days with the sun blazing there's nowhere to hide.
