What a pointless record and marketing when it's the only dive coaster in California. If they consider HangTime a dive coaster then I also consider X2 a dive coaster with it's pretty much vertical drop. X2 stats are higher in every way. X2 is also floorless btw.

The difference is that HangTime has a holding brake. X2 doesn’t. HangTime was advertised as a dive coaster, so it’s actually a pretty fair take.

Seaworld also didn't build Hangtime. And given that it was a Gerstlauer, that gives SeaWorld free reign to market this as Cali's only dive coaster.
