What's new

SFMM 2011 - 3 new coasters including a ZacSpin!

^^^ Meh. The launch still looks as crap as S:TE used to be. Plus, still only gets halfway up the tower looking at that. If they can't manage to sort out the fundamentals on the Australian one, then there's **** all hope for SFMM.

For me, S:TE is the biggest anti-climax I've ever experienced. I was really hoping that they'd be able to get it back to its full potential with this refurb... but if TOT2 is anything to go by, then there's no chance. That makes me sad.

Edit:
Just seen the vid of S:EFK testing. Looks good. Well excited that it's getting near the top of the tower. However, there's blatantly no hope of this actually happening during normal operation. Plus, the launch will always suck monkey balls.

The new Car has the new Restrains from Intamin . I mean it exactly looks like the same restrains they have on RC Racer .

Looks as though Superman is ready to open:

(if it hasn't already)

Meh.. yet again SFMM making stupid decisions. Who honestly gives a <img> about the stupid record? How about we add something which will make the park BETTER?

Stupid management.
right on the money

the only reason there doing the zacspin is becuase they wanted a cheaper ride so they can keep their title for mot rollercoasters, also they seem tto wnt to have a unique collection of rides and a zacspin is certainly unique

Here is a POV of Superman. Honestly, I'm liking the new colors:

Why would you even care? Not like you guys are going anytime soon.

Alright fanboy.. come back from douchebaggery.

PS: The colors are meh as is.. and the ride still sucks.

Was crap before & still looks like crap in the video. Just so anti-climatic...

FYI - The kid & I fly out to L.A. every year just to go to Magic Mountain.

I think it looks a lot better than when we rode it, we only got half way up lol. It also looks like it gets back to the station faster as well, which is a good thing :)

The problem with them doing the ride up means it will not be replaced any time soon.

I think if they run both sides at the same time it could be fun.

I enjoyed it forwards...

And it's hard to say that a POV is 'anti-climatic', especially for a ride based around speed... On some POVs even TTD and Ka look boring...
