I think this ride was basically a rip-off of Disney’s Soarin’ ride, though I haven’t ridden Disney’s version to actually know. Anyone who’s done both care to enlighten me?

Yeah, they both use pretty much the exact same video, but the real Soarin's pull the seats up so they are hanging whereas the knock-off versions push the seats up from the bottom.
I'm fairly certain there are a few of the knock-off versions around, but I couldn't tell you where.

Happy Valley Shenzhen is both dreadful and spiteful.

Another fantastic PTR Gavin. I really enjoyed reading it. Like Furie, I also like the look of the model park, looks like when they originally built it they put in a lot of effort.

Great stuff Gavin!

I lived in Xiaolan, Zhongshan for 5 months this year. I managed to do Happy Valley, Window of the World, Chimelong and parks in HK.

I'm so jealous you got to do the Bullet Coaster, they were testing it when I was there but it never opened! It looks amazing. Happy Valley was just awful, as you said, for operations, it was just laughable when I went. It was a quiet week day and yet some of the queues were still stupid.

All your photos are making me miss China!
