Hopefully it will have the same trains as NTG.

It will not. New trains built by Rocky mountain, with steel wheels.

Honestly I'd like to see some sort of Inversion on this coaster. Or at least something that can't really successfully be done on a Wooden coaster.

That would make this Coaster Extremely unique.

In the coaster world, unique is usually a huge bonus.

I honestly don't think it will, reason being this is their first proper coaster. Build a basic model, get all the data you can from that and THEN add in inversions.

This. I think it will be a 'normal' coaster with of course the steep drop, and perhaps some heavily banked turns...

Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster

I think it'll be just like NTG (overbanks, plenty of hops and airtime) but more terrain-y. I could see the shaping being a bit like Boulder Dash's as well.

I'd like to see an advertising campaign for this, though. Usually that's how we get our first glimpse of what the theme might be.

Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster

Its not even close to done. All they have is a drop right now. They usually bring the campaigns out when its near complete.

I just want to see a press release or a layout of some kind god damnit!

That drop looks like it'll be awesome

Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster

This coaster teamed with Wildfire and Powder Keg is going to just about perfect Silver Dollar City. I think it's one of the most underrated parks in the country.

^As long as you're not eating in that all-you-can-eat underground correctional facility.

Here's an interesting picture!

Now, is that one of those overbanked turns, or is it the rumored inversion?

Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster

Considering it is just topper track, it really can't be an inversion, but that is looking like an insane degree, steeper than anything on Giant. It's tough to figure out since this is their first coaster that isn't a redo. I don't know if it would be possible, but could they technically use topper and iron horse on one coaster, or would the wheel assembly not allow it? Again, I have no idea, so that's why I am asking.

Regardless, <3.

Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster

Well I'm going back to SDC next summer.

Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster

At the end of the day, even if it's an over bank, the degree that it's going to be at is actually an inversion, it's FAR beyond 90˚, I'd even go to say it's equal, or even exceeding 135˚.

I wish I could, I think this beauty might have to wait on my park wishlist for a while :-(

Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster

I've seen a few other pictures of this from the side of that hill, and based on how fast it's rotating i don't think it could possibly be anything other than an inversion. That is unless it is a wooden version of maverick lol
