What's new

Silver Dollar City | Time Traveler | Mack Looping Launched Spinner

What if this isn't a spinner? It could just be a regular launch coaster, similar to Helix.
Because the park had said this will be a "first of its kind" and a "regular launched coaster, similar to Helix" has been done before.

The completed track segment keeps growing.
Progress as of this weekend:

This week's progress shows an almost completed station with regards to siding and we have a second swoop of track installed. Previews of the update are below. As always more photos of the progress can be found HERE

The finishes on the station are looking really nice.

I might be overstepping here, but let's stick to discussion and update photos so that the people who want to find the latest on the ride don't have to shift through numerous posts like what you are proposing.

Go on then, who doesn't love a bit of speculation?

2 inversions
2 launches
90ft
Time Traveller
Steampunk type Wild West
Spinning
Heartline roll, corkscrew
6 [notable] airtime moments
62 mph (100 kph)
Hopefully nothing too gimmicky

My guess:

2 inversions
1 launch
85 feet
Time Traveler
Con-Artist/salesman with a steampunk-y station and Roman ride
Spinning
Zero-G Roll and or Inline Twist
4 Airtime moments
55 mph

^The height of the station is already very high up, which indicates a drop out of the station. This seriously decreases the likelihood of the ride needing to go up that high. It can certainly go higher than the station height, but it shouldn't need to go any more than maybe 30 feet over it.

First multiple launched spinner with multiple inversions?

Frankly, I hope they don't really go for any of that sort of marketing. Just make the ride really ****ing good, and it'll market itself!

I don't think they said "world's first" though so it could still be the first launched inverting spinner in the States.

Besides let's be honest - do you think anyone over here in the States cares about a coaster in Asia? No. No they don't. o_O
