Six Flags Fiesta Texas | "Iron Rattler" |Steel Hybrid

Doesn't the World agree Millennium Force is a good drop followed by crap though?

I don't really. The rest of the ride has those long hills which are perfectly airtime-y, but yeah, besides that the layout is just getting from point A to point B with an overbank or two in there

Haven't found any photos yet, so i'm going to go out on a limb and say these are the first pics of Iron Rattler track :p

For those wondering, these were snapped outside (when I say outside, I mean OUTSIDE the fence, meaning there was no tresspassing involved) of RMC's plant in Hayden, Idaho. It's about 10 minutes away from my house in Coeur d'Alene, and if you keep going down the main highway, it's about another 15 minutes until you hit Silverwood.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics, i'll try to get back over there tomorrow with my actual camera to snap some better photos!

UPDATE!

Went down to RMC's office today to drop off a resume with them, it's a longshot in the dark, but, hey, i'm trying, right?

Anywho, snapped this photo on my way out, most of the track had already been hauled off, this truck was waiting for the go ahead to leave with it's load. As you can see to the left of the truck though, theres a bit more track left to go.

The odd thing is that it appears that RMC has just begun fabricating this track. While I was inside their fabrication shop (it's a HUGE building, I was quite surprised), there was an almost endless set rows of unpainted rails stacked on top of one another, however, most of the track was either incomplete or near finished. One of the fabricators mentioned that they had just started work on the rails not too long ago, sometime around the time the announcement was made by Six Flags.

If thats the case, I'm not so sure how RMC and SFFT intends to complete Iron Rattler in the intended timeframe.

So you handed in your resume, then took pictures of their product to immediately upload to a coaster enthusiast forum. Have I got that right?

You're hired!

The track is now on site and construction has commenced:

Not quite as good as Outlaw Run's...

Old and new...

90% chance I ride both next summer.. so we will see. Both look spectacular and my love for wooded/hybrids will definitely help in my case.

This and Outlaw Run are the two new coasters I'm most looking forward to in 2013. I REALLY hope I get to ride both.

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas | "Iron Rattler" |Steel Hybrid

Why did that picture evoke this from my mind?

Hi there! Six Flags Fiesta Texas here! Remember that wooden coaster that had a horrendously boring triple helix of no reason? Well, instead of that, have this amazingly awesome 90° banked inclines for NO **** REASON!

I know! We want air first, tippy parts and inversions come second.

...a distant second.
