Yea I think we’d be hard pressed to see S&S build a wild card coaster in the States anytime soon.

Most people don’t fully realize how much things have shifted in the years since Maxx Force. Changing managements and strategies, poor track records, overseas companies coming back in to take these project opportunities with proven and much better products, you name it. The monumental turd that has been Steel Curtain - one of the most spectacularly disastrous coaster projects of the last decade - continues to cement the company’s prospects.

To their credit S&S has stayed busy; currently they’re delivering two (?) Screamin’ Swings to the US, three small and unique Axis coasters to the Saudi’s, and only the world’s largest drop tower for Qiddiya. They’re just kind of on a time out with the big US clients right now.

This could be a DDC dive coaster clone potentially...
Idk why everyone keeps saying Diabolical clone when it'd be so much easier and efficient to design a new layout, given the space available.

Can't really clarify what the attraction actually is, I suppose some things you need to keep your tongue sealed about. 😜

The first posts of these campaigns have been red herrings; Maxx Force in particular began with heavy waterpark teasers before switching gears.
Regarding location however though Mardi Gras was indeed this campaign's breakout red herring. Location is indeed around Demon/Buccaneer Battle however, they're still conducting demolition on the latter (story from yesterday) and there were stakes seen at the former in June.

Teasers are going strong, stay tuned for next Thursday!

EDIT; Oh yeah today's new banner for your enjoyment. The QR code Wordle spells Demon 👀

Unfortunately, neither Scott nor I can make it. :(

But we have someone covering the event for us, so we'll be posting all the info about the new ???? coaster here and on our socials. :)

These are the words from the latest trailer... So... Here's my thinking;

Demon has a 70ft tall loop (seven) and a 55ft tall loop (five), made of (steel), there's been quite a (tease), a 90ft (drop) and it is indeed the (Demon). This route demonstrates a full Demon refurbishment for (2025), similar to Montezuma maybe. Adding some more to it story wise.

Alternatively, I could also see a Bolliger and Mabillard Dive Coaster in (2025). 70mph max speed (seven), (five) inversions, lots to (tease), made of (steel), a large (drop) and the theme of the Wrath Of Rakshasa with links to a (demon).

Walk the plank....sounds to me like a Tilt coaster??

Not saying its impossible...
Same could be said about a Dive Coaster. If that (probable) Tilt Coaster track didn't already show up at SF Mexico, I would agree that could be possible. But I don't think the odds are great that they've ordered a custom Tilt for Great America, or bought one off another cancelled project.

A 172ft D7 dive would be crazy. At that point though, just go all the way and get a D8...
