The Legend
A bit overdue.. but hey.. better late then never.. :p

Drove out from Las Vegas that morning.. after being out ALL night.. and I slept the whole ride there. I was pretty 'meh' for most of the morning, but once I saw 'SFMM' on a sign.. I woke up and lost it pretty fast.

The whole day was just kinda crazy, mostly because I never thought I'd be going there anytime soon. Riding rides I've only seen pictures of for YEARS.. crazy crazy stuff. BUT, on to the sex.

That famous skyline you see from the parking lot. Delicious.

n180000185_30407676_1456848.jpg

First ride of the day, Goliath.

n180000185_30407675_7911625.jpg

First drop. Not much airtime tho.. :(

n180000185_30407671_8307809.jpg

Next up was Scream!, wasn't as good as advertised tho.

n180000185_30407665_4406373.jpg

THE DIRTY BATMAN! Probably the most forceful and my favorite one I've been on.

n180000185_30407674_5255535.jpg

Riddler, being right next to Batty, would be the next stop.

n180000185_30407662_3290080.jpg

After a few credit stops, we stopped off at the legend.. Superman. And Oo boy did it suck.. lol.

n180000185_30407680_310894.jpg

415ft of crap. It only went up to like 300ft anyway.

n180000185_30407673_7125423.jpg

Right down the road was sexy.. sexy.. sexy Tatsu.

n180000185_30407664_3738667.jpg

Loved the turn. Great views from the front row.

n180000185_30407670_6832299.jpg

After Tatsu was Viper.. good view up the hill.. but not so smooth.

n180000185_30407666_2152373.jpg

Cool view from the lift hill tho.

n180000185_30407668_3978389.jpg

After slapping Revolution, the last on the list of coasters to hit was X2.

n180000185_30407672_829140.jpg

Lifthill from the queue.

n180000185_30407667_385482.jpg

More lifthill from the 'almost there' queue.. lol

n180000185_30407663_4265233.jpg

I loved that sign for some reason.. lol.

We did chill the day, mostly because we were running on 4 hours of sleeping in a car and no food.. but still hit everything worth hitting.

Batman The Ride: x1 with 30 min wait.
Colossus: x1 with walkon.
Gold Rusher: x1 with walkon.
Goliath: x2 with walkon's.
Ninja: x1 with walkon.
Revolution: x1 with walkon.
Riddler's Revenge: x1 with walkon.
Scream!: x1 with walkon.
Superman The Escape: x1 with 20 min wait.
Tatsu: x1 with 40 min wait.
Viper : x1 with walkon.
X2: x2 with 45 min wait.

Didn't whore it, just enjoyed my day.. knowing I won't be back anytime soon. Fantastic day. :)

I'll review all the rides later.

Glad to see you enjoyed the day, I was the same as you tbh. I had seen the park in pictures for years, since I was a kid so had a great smile on my face when I got there.

Your so lucky to go there. Some nice photos as well and seems like you had an enjoyable time. :)

Nice pics.

I'd been to the Mountain several times in the 90's, but I was really disappointed in this trip. (I think I was there the same day as you...)

Even though the park was fairly dead, slow, slow operations and surly employees seemed to be the norm.

They even stacked us on Colossus in single-train ops!

Snoo went the week before we did Chris, unless you went to SFMM twice...

Glad to see you had a great day Marcus - weather wise & ride wise. I guess Deja Vu was down all day. If you get the chance to go back, try to stick around until after dark. So many of those coasters are even better at night.

The four hours of sleep explains the quality pictures...lol.

At least you enjoyed the day. How warm was it? When I was there, it was around 100 for most of the day. Nice photos of X2 though. It looks a lot nicer than the original paintjob.

I'm praying for the summer.. but who knows. I know I am going back to Vegas this summer.. and my friend wants/needs to go to SFMM. I just got unlucky with the days I had to go (in terms of hours). The lines were NON existent and weather beautiful. I couldn't ask for much more tbh.

The fact I took the pictures with my phone explains the quality. :p

It was around 60.. but blaring sun all day long. As you can see in the pics, beautiful day. :)

THE RIDES!

Batman The Ride: just as I expected, forceful as hell, but much better then its counterparts at GAdv and oG tbh. Definitely a top 25 coaster with great flow, g's, and smooth as butter.

9/10

Colossus: Very meh. The airtime was mediocre, it was quite boring, but surprisingly smooth. You can tell it is a shadow of its former self. Shame really.

6/10

Gold Rusher: For an arrow, it isn't bad, and compared to the other mine trains I've been on, it is top of its class.. but not a great class to be head of.. lol.

5/10

Goliath: Well, all the things I heard were true.. minor airtime (decent floater tho) and nothing but the helix.. but the helix was amazing. The drop was cool too.. although it had no airtime.

7.5/10

Ninja: Suspended! I loved it. It is definitely the best I've been on to date. Fantastic swings along with good setting.. I just wish it was longer.

7/10

Revolution
: The legend.. well.. sucked. I expected better.. but once you slap on horsecollars, it sucks all the goodness from the ride. Sad.. I would want to hop on without them.

6/10

Riddler's Revenge: Surprise of the day. I heard so many bad things, I didn't expect too much.. and I got pure awesome. Smooth inversions, minimal headbanging (even compared to Georgia Scorcher), and great flow.

8.5/10

Scream!: The other surprise. I heard GREAT things from this ride.. and it disappointed me to no end. It wasn't smooth, the inversions just felt.. meh.. and I just walked off wanting more. Plus.. the setting is.. very very meh.

6/10

Superman The Escape: Lol.

4/10

Tatsu: Best Flyer I've been on, period. The drop was amazing, the setting was fantastic, each element was simply great, with great flow from each element. Plus.. the pretzel loop.. yum. #12 for me.

9.5/10

Viper: An Arrow.. what more to expect? The drop was quite badass.. along with the inversions.. but the MCBR did kill the second half. The restraints did suck, even for an Arrow.

6/10

X2: Well.. what can I say? It was a fantastic experience. All the effects were working to the fullest, the lines weren't mind numbing long, and the ride delivered much more then I thought it would. That drop.. <3

10/10

Scream has dropped off of my favorites because it has gotten quite rough in its short life.

Hope you sat in the front!

Glad to see you enjoyed the day. Wish you would have made it to WCB(it was awesome!)

Aww Snoo, sexy TR.

You've made me excited about my visit to SFMM this summer!

Still hate X's new colours... the pink and yellow was fab :(.

You would like pink and yellow.. :p

It will be a good place.. much better then most of the East Coast parks you visited.
