What's new

Six Flags New Additions for 2014

Wing coaster for over Texas anyone?

Think about it. It would make perfect sense. The last coaster they got was The New Texas Giant, and some don't even count that as a new coaster, as it was more of a refurbishment. And on top of that, as one of the more popular Six Flags parks in the chain, I could see it happening since X-Flight was such a big hit at Great America. AND they removed the Flashback. That leaves them short a coaster. It would be a perfect fit.

I expect a SkyScreamer for New England.

^Do you have a link/source for this?

Yeah it was retweeted by aboutthemeparks.com

@AboutThemeParks: Hmm. This just in. @SixFlags New England will reveal its "largest announcement ever" this Thursday. Stay tuned!

Also

@AboutThemeParks: @SixFlags New England says (breathlessly) it will be the "news story of the year."

It looked to be a fairly credible source......

Windseeker?

Always said it would go on the front.

That looks truly kick ass by the way.
Also, Rolling Thunder is leaving, as predicted by Screamscape.

The worlds, tallest, fastest, steepest wooden roller coaster for Six Flags Great America.
Goliath!

All of the announcements are now on this page!

Seriously, some of that stuff looks insane. The drop tower on Kingda Ka is ridiculous, but looks amazing!!!
Goliath looks utterly brilliant.

Magic Mountain is turning Batman and Colossus backwards! And adding another new kiddie cred!

I think I know what parks are on my to do list next year! :D

Colossus runs backwards at certain times in the year anyway so that's a bit of a let down seeing people thought it was getting a re track etc.

Hmm, Goliath looks amazing, I am assuming it's the Iron Horse makeover rather than the topper track we saw on Outlaw Run right? Apart from that Jumanjaro looks good too, but they haven't exactly wowed me by just adding on 15ft. And I guess Iron Medusa looks fun, it just shocks me how small that coaster is. Oh well nice to see they stole the inverted drop idea from The Smiler!

Goliath is their topper track system like Outlaw Run. Medusa: Steel Coaster is their Iron Horse or whatever its called now (I-Box?).

While the Upside down hill of win looks fun, is all RMC ever going to do is just make up more retarded versions of Zero-G/Barrel rolls? They dont even call it a Dive loop on Goliath, its a 180 Zero-G and an Inverted Drop followed by a Stalled Zero-G.

Weeeeeee...more **** zero-g/barrel rolls.

SFGadv drop tower looks awesome!
SFM Medusa, very cool!
SFGA Goliath, drop looks good, rest looks like they lost imagination and just put in some inversions for the sake of it, and it looks short as well. Should be great anyways.

Zumanjaro drop tower looks great, but comes at the cost of Rolling Thunder, which will close to the public on September 8.
