What's new

Six Flags to make all 2015 announcements August 28

Ugh, I was very excited to see all the new coasters. Then I found out that every park is getting a **** ring of fire. It was hilarious though how they tried to make the same coaster and clips sound different all those times, but I really hate those rides and they are certainly NOT coasters. Looks like Six Flags has a new gimmick.

Either way, the two RMCs look pretty good. The S&S looks hideous and not very enjoyable, and I like that they finally got a dark ride.

Of course, everything else is worthless.. SFMM and SFNE. Both of them look pretty good, but we shall see of course. I came away disappointed with Texas Giant and Iron Rattler so I hope they improve their designs and make these much more exciting.

"Chaos coaster" - LOL!

The RMCs look good, SFFTs Batman looks "interesting" but a bit underwhelming, and as for those ring of fires ; just awful.

What an insult to our intelligence... Those are obviously not roller coasters. I'm surprised they didn't give Magic Mountain a ring of fire as well so they could act like they had 20 coasters. Six Flags clearly has never had much respect for its customers. This is just another example of that, like the train-wrapper ads a few years ago.

"We're Saving Money: the Season"

Featuring:
- Coasters we already built decades ago!
- 15 % savings on bulk purchases!
- "Classic" rides taken out of the storage shed!
- The cheaper version of ZacSpins!
- A kiddie water land!
- Rides named the same as our other rides!
- Rides leaning on external IPs for marketing, 'cause they sure as heck aren't marketable on their own!
- Reminiscing of times when we had a decent park!
...and finally, what we saved for last....
- A shooting dark ride! Those are very popular with the public, right?

Pretty disappointing. Besides the pair of RMCs and maybe Batman, it's all a disappointment and not a surprise. I do hope more parks do the 40th anniversary thing. I like how Colossus isn't just 2 separate coasters, and rather a single track. I also like how they didn't just do Orange.

And yet another small thing for GE. Someone really needs to win the lottery and give like 25 million to the Great Escape.

If any people are concerned with the hangtime elements on the RMCs, it's one of the most lovely coaster elements in existence. Wicked Cyclone and Twisted Colossus (despite their **** names) are on my bucket list.

Everything else aside from Batman and maybe the 40th anniversary thing seems a bit naff though.

Dear lord that video was awful, and what a hack to call those carnival rides coasters.
Heck, even CONSIDERING putting them in was shameful.

I heard Six Flags is in negotiations to secure a few of these for 2016:

Man 2016 is going to have some great new "coasters"

"New to Six Flags America; HEY! Your ZIPPER is down!" EVERYONE SEE WHAT WE DID THERE?!?!?

It irritates me how SixFlags is trying to call the Fire Balls "roller coasters".

Totally agree. I hope they drop the "coaster" from Jokers Chaos because the park will consider it a coaster when RCDB and other places won't. I'm hoping it will be like when someone builds a random water slide and calls it a water coaster but its not a legit water coaster like Journey to Atlantis.

EDIT: Watching the video for all of the attractions and on the specs for Looping Dragon at Great Adventure it says 13th roller coaster.

This, although they dont have these fab cars running anymore:

Also, if Six Flags installed Zippers in all their parks, they would get all the business as Zippers are the best. Thing. Ever.

I've already expressed my anger, but I just have to say that I feel the only park that could have benefited from a Ring of Fire is, ironically, Great Escape.
