A new ride in Korea called T Express has opened at Everland in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do (south of Seoul).
It's first drop is an record breaking 77 degrees steep. One degree higher than "El toro", the former record holder (76 degrees)
T Express is also the first wooden roller coaster in Korea. (opened March 14, 2008)

Here are the stats:

- Length: 5383' 10"
- Height: 183' 9"
- Drop: 150' 11"
- Speed: 64.6 mph

This is a tough one. Having seen the T-Express POV, El Toro looks like the better overall ride. T-Express has a lot of airtime hills, but seems to drag on a little bit too long, and that mid course break looks like it'll really kill the flow of the ride.

T-Express.

It has more then three hills for one. The problem with Toro (other then the fact it's soul-less, which is moot, cause I imagine T-Express is the same way) was that while the hills are awesome, there's three of them. That's it. T-Express actually has the decency to have a huge amount. And then Toro's turn-around's a bit blegh, and the twisting finale isn't anything too amazing.

However, B' Dash > Either of them.

T-Express.

This is because TE consists of Balders layout, and Balder is better than Toro anyway.

T-Express also has Toro's first drop and hills, which is the only good thing Toro has that Balder doesn't.

I just don't see how people can say that Toro is better... I feel like i've ridden T-Express because I've already ridden Toro/Balder, and i'm 100% sure i'd prefer T-Express.

Everyone is different Jakey.

I can't see why people could like Millennium Force.. or anything in the UK for example.

Yet you guys seem to like Ultimate for some odd reason.. :p

PS: T Express.

T-Express obviously. The MCBR is needed because the ride would be too wild otherwise. I also like the themeing (even the ride ops have train conductor uniform), and the fact that it's the steepest woodie around. And according to reviews, it has tons of air.

Minus points for not having a clone in Norway, though.

I'm not saying this only because El Toro is the only one I have been on, but yes, I do think El Toro looks like the better ride.

T-Express looks really impressive, but honestly, much like what Balder looks like, it seems to have horrible pacing. Hill, turn, hill, turn, and then a brake thrown in, turn, hill, and you get my point. It looks like a fantastic ride and I'm sure it is probably one of the best in the world, but I think Toro's great pacing is what makes it win.

^It has loads.

The only thing that I think Toro has over T Express is a bit more height. What do the majority of enthusiasts look for in a coaster? Airtime. T Express has 12 (I think) moments of strong airtime. If you love the airtime of Toro, how could a very similar coaster that offers even more of it, over a longer run, not be the better coaster?

The MCBR doesn't take anything away from the ride at all, and the pacing is great throughout. Actually, some of the later hills give the strongest airtime.

It's true that from the povs (all very low quailty so far) it looks quite monotonous (hill, turn...) but it doesn't ride like that at all.

Then you've got the better theming and gorgeous location of T Express. Ok, so for coasters of this scale, the ride is much more important, but the overall atmosphere and experience has to count for something, too.

I think Toro looks amazing. I've always thought that and I would love to ride it one day. It just seems to me that T Express offers what Toro offers, and then throws in a lot more.

I would say T Express for sure. Although I agree with Taylor on the pacing doesn't look as great but the layout makes me think there is quite a bit more airtime then on El Toro and thats what I'd be looking for riding it. (Coaster Tournament Finals)

I'm going to have to agree with Tay. With coasters of this proportion, especially woodies, pacing is everything, and every bit as important as airtime in my opinion. El Toro seems to be a nonstop rush from the first drop to the final brakes, and T Express seems to have a few slower breaks in it which could ruin the experience. It would still definitely get points for being full of airtime though.

But then again I loved Millenium..

T-Express.

I don't give a crap about pacing on something like this. 12 points of airtime to Toro's 4 or 5 (if I remember right). Toro doesn't even come close.

And I have to say, although it's not quite an MCBR, that awwwwfffulll Speed Hill on Toro might as well be one. That kills the pacing of the ride by just plodding along until it reaches "the" hill over RT.

you obviously havent heard or nemesis or megaphobia.

After riding T-Express the other week, I can't believe that Toro could be better then it.
The first drop of it is just unreal and gives a pop of strong ejector (-1.5g) in the middle of it, a thing that I have never felt on any other big steep Intamin coasters (almost feels like a beyond vertical drop).

The last section of the ride is so close to Balder that the turn on T-Express where the brake run is on Balder, took me by surprise every time. :)

A comparison between the forces felt on the coasters:
