Another thing about the supports, try and rotate the footers, it will make the whole structure look better. It's dead easy as well.
Just select the footers for each support, open the preference window (double clicking on them), then click inside the "rotation box" (where the numbers are) and then just use the scroll wheel. to get the footers parallel to the supports.
Thanks for the comments guys and loefet yes I think I will turn the footers but I think I'll do it at the end when I have built all the supports. I have done it before I think, rotating the footers.
^ Ok, but I find it easier to rotate the footers as I finish of the support I'm working on, I think it's quicker that way, and you don't miss any of them.
Supports are finally done!! With rotated footers and everything!
The problem is when I tunnel test the whole thing some supports go into the tunnels, but when I tunnel test separate parts of the track and not all of it, it passes. I don't know why this, but I'm going to leave it as it has taken so long already.
EDIT: I've decided to leave 3Ds for this ride, and get some practice in with them and try and use them on my next ride, so expect a download soon!
After almost two months of construction, due to my laziness and having to do my first custom invert supports, this project is finally finished.
I give you... Taipan
As it meanders through the woodland grass, the Taipan twists and turns, up then down, round and round, searching for prey. Whilst rolling through 3 inversions and 2383ft of track at heights of 112ft, the snake strikes, the prey screaming in pain. Suddenly, the screeching comes to a sudden stop as the reptile returns, for it to happen all over again. Click here if you dare to experience Taipan
Wow. I never thought an SLC could be so good. You have an excellent layout and great pacing. Most of all, it was smooth. Your supports are extremely good too. Impressive job. It was worth the two months.
I'm not in the mood to write a full review, but I have to say that that was good! The layout was OK, if a bit short, but the coaster was smooth and it flowed really nicely. The pacing was very good and the supports were also well done.
Overall, one of the best SLCs I think I've seen from NL, bearing in mind that they're rarely produced.
I liked it. Nice layout, well paced with good speed. Nice supports that provided some foot choppers as well.
You actually make SLC's look fun and exciting.
The only downside I would have is that the layout was slightly shorter than I would of liked it to be. But it's still great for what you've done.
7.5/10
Thanks for the comments guys, they have made building this worthwhile. I agree the layout was a little short, but it was how I planned it as a tight, compact coaster. Thanks for the compliments on the smoothness, pacing and supports aswell as I have been trying to improve these factors for a while.
There are only 2 real "faults" with this coaster, 1 you should have had another block section since you are running 2 trains and the turn between the brake run and the station is very bad.
First of all i like the layout. I noticed a bump coming out of the loop into the banked air hill and I was not too keen on the shaping of the first drop. It wasn't very Vekoma.
