Did it actually? I hadn't heard a thing... What's been done to it? Full retrack? If so who by?

I just heard it was closed ages ago, and still closed earlier this year.
 
It definitely reopened last week - my missus rode it on Friday... without me!

Full re-track by Intamin, I believe, and according to Mrs Howie (who I should point out is non-goon), it's fantastic.

Count another one for team Taron! As an overall experience, F.L.Y wins, but if it's just coaster hardware, then it's Taron.

Taron - FLY is uncomfortable, cool tech but the flying position is still horrible - Taron is pretty boring not sure why it gets the love it does - if Icon didn't have the boring last 1/3 it would be way superior and in fact is despite that
 
Taron night rides are incredible, as are Helix night rides. If you base either coaster on a daytime ride you won't rate it.
FLY works in both, I didn't see a massive difference in the evening, but it's in no way close to Taron as a ride imo.
