The Games we play...

No Streets of Rage on that one though :(

I have it on the Wii virtual console AND Mame - so I'm not overly fussed (especially as it's as poor as the rest of them :p ).

CoD5 has a new map. Well it has since the end of February, but I haven't been on it since then.

It's the map Makin' but it's in the daylight. It doesn't sound like much but the matches are very different on day and night as it changes things like visibility. They have also made some minor changes to the day map as well.

PS3 users get it as part as the newest update and it just appears.
360 users will have to install the update then download and install the new map from the Xbox live store thing.

Also not long until they release the 4 new maps including the new Nazi Zombie map.

It's odd that the PS3 has those quirky, fun, pointless games that Nintendo seemed to dominate the market with.

World of Goo on the wii is like that.. its great

But i'm currently having geek love for:

"One Boy and his blob" for the wii... which looks lovely.. This game first came out over 20 years ago on the nes...

cant link to any of the pictures on any game sites i've found.. but there's a video here:

Saw that yesterday Malky and it looks great. A little bit like a cross between "Sleepwalker" and "Silly Putty" from around 1990-1992 on the Amiga.

Anyway, Edge have 200 different covers on their next release to celebrate 200 issues! Think you know your games? How many games/character covers do you honestly recognise.

I know 131 of the 200!

ewww!! Edge!

The images are great though, so many great games covered (pun intended) :p

My mum got Professor Layton and the Curious Village for the DS. I've wanted it for a while as it looks really good and she didn't even tell me she had it.
Mu Mum doesn't even have a DS so is using my sisters.
Luckily you can make multiple save files on the game so I can play it as well. :)
She's already come up to my room asking me to do a couple of the puzzles for her and they're quite tricky.
Good job I didn't go out and buy it for myself.

Although that is good for £15.

I have both collections. They are practically the same games however Ultimate Collection just throws in a few more gems worth having. Like I said: Fantasy Zone FTW! :p

Also additional achievements which are extremely simple to achieve; so it's very "gamerscore whoring" healthy, and you have this neat rating system. Oh did I say Fantasy Zone FTW!?

Just completed Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It was pretty good. The story was interesting and it had quite a good twist at the end which I wasn't expecting at all.
For what seems like a children's game it's completely the opposite. The game requires you to solve a murder case, there is lots of reading to do and the puzzles are insanely hard.

It essentially a puzzle game set around a stoyline and a village. The only bad thing is is that the story has an incredibly slow pace to it and doesn't pick up until it's near the end of the game. Starting the game the puzzles were fun and nice and simple although it wasn't long before they got really difficult and you ended up using coins you collect throughout the game to get hints on the answers. Then they get so hard that even with the hints you still have no idea what the answer is. Even myself (who is usually very good at solving puzzles, riddles and brain teasers) ended up looking up the solutions on the internet to some of the puzzles.

The soundtrack for the game is quite good although there are only a few songs so you find it rotating through the tracks before long. The graphics are also good. The game is set in a cartoon world, but the cut-scenes look the best and plays like a real cartoon on the telly. Although these fully animated cut-scenes rarely appear.

The game is worth getting if you like any sort of puzzles, brain teasers and riddles. It has a great variety of them (120 to be exact - plus a new puzzle comes out each week which you can download by connecting your DS to WiFi) so there's plenty to keep you going although it can become frustrating quickly if you don't know the answer, as some of the questions require use of maths such as Pythagoras, angles and percentages.
The game lasts a long time, I've been playing it solid since yesterday evening and completed it in just under 11 hours of gameplay. Although like I said earlier the story goes at an incredibly slow pace. And even after I've just completed it there are still plenty of puzzles and extras that I have to go back to to complete the game 100%.

I'm not sure how to rate this as I think it'll only appeal to a certain range of people. Although I would recommend playing it as there are two more in the series due to come out in the future.

8/10 but only if you're into puzzle games

Here's a professional review of the game:

Don't think I've mentioned this but I have the Fallout Collection (fallout 1, 2 and tactics)

Only played fallout 1 so far.

It's completely different.

Sure the graphics are understandable but who cares.

Fallout 3 is pretty easy when you think about difficulty but fallout 1 had me restart the game 3 times at the very beginning.

I can also see why fallout fans were screaming UR DOIN IT RONG when they say Fallout 3 as well.

Btw

Killer7 is getting a bit difficult.

And Earthbound is Amazing.

Scream at nintendo to release all the games in English.

If they do not threaten with physical violence.

Yes. Oh yes.

Ya wut?
Whenever I haven't been doing damn A2 Coursework. I've been procrastinating by playing TF2 which I swear never gets old.

That and the Sandman is quote possibly the best weapon in any FPS ever.

Worth watching as there's some pretty funny news stories on there.
