When I was to Tripsdrill the last time (just after the main season this year) I observed something curious. When queuing for Karacho, I saw an elderly lady wearing a Karacho Merch T-Shirt sitting in the operator booth next to the ride op. After a few trains left while we were waiting, suddenly the lady went on an empty train and rode all alone. We were riding it 6 times that day, and saw her riding it alone quite a few times. Later we also saw people with microphones and cameras running around, also in the restricted area of the coaster. Later, the woman sat in a one of the golf cart things the staff uses, and I got the chance to talk to her, asking her how she gets the honor to ride Karacho all alone the whole day. She explained me that she is doing this for a long time now in order to cure her back ache, and that there is a radio team which is reporting about it. I thanked her for her answer, but I couldn't really believe it until I googled it.
She actually rode Karacho over 1350 times, and she is 77 years old.
For those who don't know Karacho: Gerstlauer Launched Infinity with 4 inversions, top speed is 100 km/h.
(German news article about her) http://www.echo24.de/region/ursula-dees ... 64330.html
She is a very nice lady, but I am very surprised that riding Karacho helps her, since the safety instructions say you shoudln't ride it if you have a problem with your back.
Rollercoasters - the new back therapy? :--D
