This, but I fear we're looking at an RMC Goliath situation where half the elements don't hit. I can forgive a short ride so long as it's a banger... hell, Stealth is amazing because the launch, top hat, and airtime hill are incredible and leave you buzzing. Goliath kind of wasted some of its elements on some overbank turns, and I'm not convinced that some of Exodus's turnarounds will be enough to make this a consistent ride. And another thing, if those 4 or 5 elements hit, and I mean hit hard, which by the look of things I think they are more than capable of doing, it'll be a considerably better ride than SheikRa and Griffon too.
I believe it's been confirmed to be an Intamin family lift and launch coaster. And whatever Drayton Manor are adding, it won't be in the big leagues but it will mark a positive step in the rebirth of that place.
Yeah I know, I just threw that in there as a general idea of what it could be. Thanks for pointing that out though, I probably should have said in my postYeah, it has been confirmed, but what isn't is the exact layout that they're going for. The chances are that it might not be the one in the video.
It would arguably be the best element on the ride...Hopefully they still include the 90 degree anticipation curve in their chosen layout.
There's been no indication about what the theme could be. The Egyptian theme has come from a lot of conjecture, which certainly could be true, but by no means confirmed.I thought it was Egyptian themed though, not Greek...

I'd be down for an Icarus theme personally. Very well known story, simple enough to convey, lends itself to not needing much theming and more of a stylised coaster, works for the ride. There's a lot worse ideas out there.
it should've been like this, would've been perfect
Im not too bothered about the shortness though
I think something akin to Untamed’s “theming” would suit Thorpe Park to a tee. A theme without really being a theme, more about the instagram-ableness.
