Potentially one of the worst visits I have had.

In order:

1. Got in and noticed Tidal was closed. This didn't fuss me too much at this point.

2. ****ing Inferno water jets went half off in my face on front row. Obviously some timing issue on that run. What pissed me off more is that it only hit me!

3. Stealth front row. Got stuck on it. Had an manual release. OK that was quite fun and amusing.

4. Stealth broke again straight after.

5. Over to Slammer. Got stuck in the air.

6. Loggers Evac while on it. Someone thought geting out was a good idea. Got PP's, but 2/3 rides on the list were down now!

7. Samurai broke on aproach.

8. Saw Security issue downtime + Sicky downtime + break down + running only 2 or 4 people in each car pissed me off. 40 min queue turned into 90.

9. Inferno gave me one cracker of a headbang. Proper red ear.

10. Stupid host on Colossus telling us to leave the front row queue at the end when it was STILL OPEN. "Oh, its 8pm in a while, so you wont be given a ****ing ride".

So you get the idea.

Also WWTP is back on the ****ty loop with like 5 songs. Saw closed at 7pm. I know why now, but a tad annoying. KFC was the sloppyest I have ever seen.

Highlights?:
Seeing Ewan, Chris (Happy Birthday btw), Jonny and staff being very good in general. Oh and Big John and Tanya was there.

AND Ewans comments on Slapps PA :D hehe

Though the ride count isn't too bad.

Stealth x6 (1F)
Inferno x5 (2F)
Colossus x2
Saw x1
Rush x7
X x1
Vortex x1
Zodiac x1
Slammer x1
Samurai x1
Loggers x1

Some issues were partly good, but the shear amount of issues is whats make the day so dissapointing.

Edit: I'll just add that I mangaged to get mad backache and hip ache again. Leading to crappy walking.

For what you claim was a bad day, your ride count wasn't too bad! I'd be happy to get that count any day.

He did forget the one /two things that did make us laugh though....

How big is a beach ball???? THIS BIG!! used as crowd entertainment on Rush and Saw.

And Ewans comment over tanoy, having conversation with other host out loud to each other as someone was ****ting themselves on Slammer, two girls were worried they were going to fall out so he said that if they fell out it wouldn't hurt as they would be dead by the time they hit the ground, and this was usually over in Loggers where most people land when they are flung off Slammer as it is like a catapolt, they had lost at least 6 this week so far.

The queues were not huge just waiting time was made worse by breakdowns, it there had been no breakdowns then the queues would have been an hour or less, even Saw woulds have been only 45 mins if we hadn't had 3 incidents/breakdowns.
Stealth was only had one train for the morning, one train had a maintenance problem, but added back later when rectified.
Logger evac was not parks fault just somebody decided it was a good idea to get out of there log and wander around in ride area, so they had to evec ride and give out passes until it was rectified.

yes me and tanya was at thorpe today to ride saw.

We had actually traveld down for tanyas grandads funeral and on our way home tanya suggested we do rides we hadnt done as may not have chance at ghoster and saw has been shut the last 2 times we went. So after a quick visit to chessington to visit the sea life (rubish by the way) we hit thorpe and straight to saw which unexpectidly was open YAY. We got in the que and then it broke down after i had a little rant and lots of peeps leaving que it started again so an hour later we finaly got to ride it. I didnt expect much to be honest and was suprised with the bit before the lift i didnt know it was there but apart from that which is no longer unexpected it was POO. I thought it was rough and unimaginative and just generaly shiiiiiite. So after that dissapointment we went home lol after a little chat with beans and a-kid that is. And after a horrid 6 hour drive due to **** m25 we are home lol

 LMFAO!

I visited thorpe on Sat for the first time ever when it wasn't a fright night, max queue was about 45mins for Saw, which I thought was good actually, it had a decent layout and the themeing set a good atmosphere.

Thorpe really gets unfairly slated. Although I would be slightly miffed with that amountof breakdowns but if I had a ride countlike that at the endof the day I'd be happy :)

I would have thought that someone that visits the same park as much as you do, A-Kid, would be glad of the variation.

I must admit I sort of agree, we do have exceptional days so the odd bad day should be expected, and as I said the staff were excellent, even the ones we don't know that well, if it hadn't been for them the day would have been less pleasent.

I have to agree with this, 1 or 2 bad days out of 30 is bloody good tbh.

The day we went to Bean's and A Kid was one of the best days I have had at Thorpe, there was not one ride we could not have gone on.

Wait, really we shouldn't expect bad days from any park.

I've never had one bad day at Disneyland, nor have I ever at Chessington, Drayton or Alton. Why should we expect any different from Thorpe?

Well I agree on this one Erol. Although, Beans and A-Kid do visit way more then any of the rest of us, so if anyone is bound to get a bad day, it's them. :p

Personally, I think it is unacceptable for any park to have the reliability that Thorpe have BUT unfortunately that is just the luck of the draw sometimes and it is out of the parks control.

Also pretty similar to what I said to my mum on the way out, that we should't expect or have bad days at a theme park. I was alreadly in a bad mood that day, so I was hoping the visit would improve my mood...

I think its just the lack of varie in the park though. Its only rides there, unlike Chessie or Alton with a mixture of attractions. So if multiple rides go down, it has a bigger impact on the day.

If I was to design an area, I would incorperate a nice sitting area, reasturants, kids adventure playground, a traditional maze?, colourful peaceful landscape around the main ride. Something Thorpe needs when rides break to escape to, of which it currently doesn't have.

Oh well, we are taking a few others to the park on Monday, hopefully it goes to plan.

Wow,never thought I'd read a bad report about Thorpe from you Leigh.

The problem with Thorpe is,it either just comes together,or just falls apart.

Not being the biggest Thorpe fan,I'd love to sit here and slate the place,BUT,the last two visits to Thorpe for me have been brilliant.

In fact,I'd say,the last time I went, back in June I think it was,was probably the best trip there I've ever had.

No break downs, short queues, plenty of larking about, everything just flowed perfectly. So it just seems like you had a bad day.

My God,I'm sticking up for Thorpe, get me some alcohol.
