I have yet to make a count of all the coasters I've ridden, but here's a list just off the top of my head:
1) Intimidator 305 (Kings Dominion)
2) Maverick (Cedar Point)
3) Dueling Dragons: Fire (while still dueling, of course)
4) Goliath (SFoG)
5) Millenium Force (Cedar Point)
6) Afterburn (Carowinds)
7) Lightning Racer (Hershey Park)
8) Phoenix (Knoebels)
9) Dare Devil Dive (SFoG)
10) Dominator (Kings Dominion)
11) Ghoster Coaster (Kings Dominion) It gets this spot for now simply because I rode it with my dad when I was less than two years old (they didn't have the height requirement for this ride back then :--D ). I've loved roller coasters since before I could walk, mostly because of this ride.

This is subject to major change as I sort out all the rides I've ridden.

Alright, so I've been wrestling with X2 and Maverick as my top steel coaster.

Maverick offers a solid "all of the above" layout that features everything you ever look for in a coaster, but X2 also spanks my ass and calls me Shirley during those night rides.

Before my trip to SFGAdv, Dorney, & Hershey last week, my top 10 looked like this:

1. I305
2. Millennium Force
3. Griffon
4. Apollo's Chariot
5. Alpengeist
6. Maverick
7. Incredible Hulk
8. Thunderhead
9. Top Thrill Dragster
10. Goliath (SFoG)

That trip changed things up quite a bit, though, as I now have 3 new entries into the top 10!

1. I305
2. El Toro
3. Millennium Force
4. Griffon
5. Apollo's Chariot
6. Alpengeist
7. Maverick
8. Incredible Hulk
9. Kingda Ka
10. Nitro

Rounding out the top 25...

11. Storm Runner
12. Thunderhead
13. Top Thrill Dragster
14. Hydra the Revenge
15. Skyrush (great ride, but I HATE the restraints. They fix those, and this is top 5 for me, easy)
16. Goliath (SFoG)
17. Dominator (KD)
18. Kumba
19. Montu
20. Talon
21. Afterburn
22. Fahrenheit
23. Batman - The Ride
24. Lightning Racer
25. Intimidator

I should probably do something about my top 10 reeking of obvious Busch Gardens fanboyism, but I honestly struggle to figure out where else to put those coasters. Oh well

My list is pretty limited as well :/
1. Bizarro - SFNE
2. Boulder Dash - Lake Compounce
3. Incredible Hulk - IoA
4. Fahrenheit - Hersheypark
5. Storm Runner - Hersheypark
6. Great Bear - Hersheypark
7. Revenge of the Mummy - Universal Studios Florida
8. Dragon Challenge Chinese Fireball - IoA
9. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit - Universal Studios Florida
10. Batman: The Dark Knight - SFNE

Well, in the aftermath of the Germany live, my top 10 has changed a bit. Expedition GeForce and Silver Star both made my top 10, whilst Blue Fire made my top 20.

I'm still a bit confused as to exactly how to rank some of these rides, but I reckon my top 20 now looks something like this:

  1. Boulder Dash, Lake Compounce, USA
  2. El Toro, Six Flags Great Adventure, USA
  3. Colossos, Heide Park, Germany
  4. Katun, Mirabilandia, Italy
  5. Phoenix, Knobels, USA
  6. Nemesis, Alton Towers, UK
  7. Superman: Ride of Steel (now Bizarro), Six Flags New England, USA
  8. Expedition GeForce, Holiday Park, Germany
  9. Silver Star, Europa Park, Germany
  10. Rita, Alton Towers, UK / Desert Race, Heide Park, Germany
  11. Talon, Dorney Park, USA
  12. Piraten, Djurs Sommerland, Denmark
  13. Blue Fire, Europa Park, Germany
  14. The Ultimate, Lightwater Valley, UK
  15. Stealth, Thorpe Park, UK
  16. Raptor, Gardaland, Italy
  17. Fluch Von Novgorod, Hansa Park, Germany
  18. Fahrenheit, Hershey Park, USA
  19. Oblivion, Alton Towers, UK
  20. The Swarm, Thorpe Park, UK

It's been so long since I rode some of these rides that it's hard to get the order spot on. There's (hopefully) still a trip to Port Aventura on the cards this year as well, so hopefully I'll have Dragon Khan and Shambhala up there somewhere by the end of the season.

After joining the brits at the add ons, and many ride to my count my top ten is now

1. Boulder Dash, Lake Compounce (New)
2. Phoenix, Knoebels (Up 1)
3. Bizzaro, Six Flags New England (New)

6. Nitro, Six Flags Great Adventure
7. Storm Runnder, Hershey (Up 1)

15. Lightning Racer, Hershey
16. Green Lantern, SFGAdv
17. Jokers Jinx, SFA

4. Montu- Busch Gardens Tampa
5. Minebuster- Canada's Wonderland

7. Gwazi Tiger- Busch Gardens Tampa
8.Kumba- Busch Gardens Tampa
9. Dragon Challenge(Hungarion Horntail-formerly Ice)-IOA
10. Revenge of the Mummy- Universal Orlando

Yeah, I don't get to many parks, stupid family

Ok, now that that trip is over, here is my top ten 2012 edition:

1) Skyrush - massive rerideability and actually managed to scare me! Not over the top intense moments (which I hate), smooth as butter, loads and loads of airtime, maintains a good speed and is an absolute howler of a coaster.

2) El Toro

3) Bizarro - I think I would rate this coaster higher if not for the dreadful soundtrack, but similarly to Skyrush it maintains a fun speed without being too intense and has some of the most powerful ejector airtime out there, it's such a rush!

4) Black Mamba

5) Nemesis

6) Piraten

7) Katun

8) Colossos

9) Talon - Firstly, the colour scheme is fab <3 But also I think this coaster has made it into my top ten because it surprised me so much! I never expected much from it and it was such a blast of a ride! Airtime on an invert, what the hell? The the zero-g is just perfection and again, it maintains a lovely speed without being too vile or intense, even on the helix.

10) Stealth

Post-Live.. nothing has really changed at the top. Added and moved up a few though. Bolded the changes.

1 Boulder Dash - Lake Compounce
2 El Toro - Six Flags Great Adventure
3 Maverick - Cedar Point
4 Superman - Ride Of Steel / Bizarro - Six Flags New England
5 Ravine Flyer II - Waldameer
6 Voyage - Holiday World
7 X2 - Six Flags Magic Mountain
8 Top Thrill Dragster - Cedar Point
9 Phoenix - Knoebels
10 Cornball Express - Indiana Beach

11 Prowler - Worlds of Fun
12 Evel Knievel - Six Flags St. Louis
13 Montu - Busch Gardens Tampa
14 Afterburn - Carowinds
15 SkyRush - HersheyPark
16 Tatsu - Six Flags Magic Mountain
17 Talon - Dorney Park
18 Millennium Force - Cedar Point
20 Patriot - Worlds of Fun
21 Alpengeist - Busch Gardens Williamsburg
22 Intimidator 305 - Kings Dominion
23 Verbolten - Busch Gardens Williamsburg
24 Storm Runner - HersheyPark
25 Kumba - Busch Gardens Tampa

You didnt get any airtime on Patriots barrel roll Mike?

I don't really count Zero-Gs as airtime... Should I? :?

After Australia/Hong Kong, I've decided to draw up my top 20. My top 10 is still the same, but Superman Escape and Wooden Coaster have made it in to my top 20...

20. Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit, Universal Studios Florida
19. Cheetah Hunt, Busch Gardens Africa
18. Wood Coaster, Knight Valley
17. El Toro, SF Great Adventure
16. Nemesis, Alton Towers
15. Kingda Ka, SF Great Adventure
14. Talon, Dorney Park
13. Prowler, Worlds of Fun
12. Superman Escape, Warner Bros. Movie World
11. Voyage, Holiday World
10. Black Mamba, Phantasialand
9. Alpengeist, Busch Gardens Europe
8. Renegade, Valleyfair
7. Apollo’s Chariot, Busch Gardens Europe
6. SheiKra, Busch Gardens Africa
5. Kumba, Busch Gardens Africa
4. Powder Keg, Silver Dollar City
3. Balder, Liseberg
2. Phoenix, Knoebels
1. Boulder Dash, Lake Compounce

After my top 10, I really find it almost impossible to rank each coaster individually now, and I struggled to actually find rides that are good enough for top 20 status, probably highlighting the amount of crap there is out here!

I'd say each of my 11-20 coasters are interchangable with eachother, and you might even be able to get rid of something and add Raging Bull in it's place!

Post Live Top 10

1)Taxi Jam - King's Dominion
2)Phoenix - Knoebels
3)Skyrush - Skyrush
4)Griffon - Busch Gardens Williamsburg
5)Leap The Dips - Lakemont
6)Alpengeist - Busch Gardens Williamsburg
7)Space Mountain - Walt Disney World
8)Great Bear - Hersheypark
9)Farenheit - Hersheypark
10)Apollo's Chariot - Busch Gardens Williamsburg

I'm having a hard time with this whole top ten thing now that my coaster count is getting higher. This is my top ten after the live, my top ten is solid but the rest seem to shift around a bit:

1. Voyage
2. El Toro
3. Ravine Flyer II
4. Bizarro
5. Phoenix
6. Boulder Dash
7. Skyrush
8. Leviathan
9. Beast
10. TTD

Bolded are the new ones, and things like Phoenix went up loads. I also thought most everything at Busch was better than I remembered it being, so those all shifted up as well. I rode a lot of quality steel coasters this year, which was a nice change of pace considering I am a massive woodie fan ;) Honorable mentions that would likely make up my #11-20 in no particular order:

- Maverick
- Nemesis
- Behemoth
- Griffon
- Oblivion
- Prowler
- Evel Knievel
- Mr. Freeze
- Flight of Fear
- Cornball Express
- Verbolten
- Storm Runner

I know things like Verbolten, Mr. Freeze, and Flight of Fear seem like odd choices considering I've been on many better coasters than those, but they're just so much fun. Maverick only dropped so significantly because it was running really badly this year, but I hope it gets better and will go back into my top ten.

I guess I'll do a pre-USA/Canada trip one now, and then an update when I get back.

1) Nemesis, Alton Towers
2) Oblivion, Alton Towers
3) The Ultimate, Lightwater Valley
4) Megafobia, Oakwood
5) Anubis, Plopsaland de Panne
6) Stealth, Thorpe Park
7) Nemesis Inferno, Thorpe Park
8) Grand National, PBB
9) Rage, Adventure Island
10) Speed: No Limits, Oakwood

What a turd list.

With Cedar Point, Canada's Wonderland, Martin's Fantasy Island and Darien Lake done, I'll reupdate:

1) Nemesis, Alton Towers
2) Leviathan, Canada's Wonderland
3) TTD, Cedar Point
4) Maverick, Cedar Point
5) Behemoth, Canada's Wonderland
6) Oblivion, Alton Towers
7) Millennium Force, Cedar Point
8) The Ultimate, Lightwater Valley
9) Megafobia, Oakwood
10) Anubis, Plopsaland de Panne

Still a turdish list in my opinion. Oh well. Got another 100 or so credz to get on this trip.

Post-live, having now gained 117 new credz since I flew into North America:

1) Nemesis, Alton Towers
2) Leviathan, Canada's Wonderland
3) Phoenix, Knoebels
4) TTD, Cedar Point
5) Boulder Dash, Lake Compunce
6) Nitro, SFGA
7) Intimidator 305, Kings Dominion
8) Bizarro, SFNE
9) Maverick, Cedar Point
10) Behemoth, Canada's Wonderland

That was a hard list. Nemesis still edges at the top though, even though it's not the best - it's just my all time favourite coaster and I doubt that'll change until it goes many, many years down the line.

Umm why is Maverick so low and Leviathan so high ? :( Other than that its a good list. I'm glad to see you got some quality and variety to your top 10, especially those 2 CW Creds.

Taylor - if the restraints on Bizarro were more allowing for my legs and waist, it'd have been much further up my list. Alas, I couldn't move in them at all and it really affected my enjoyment of the ride.

Maverick was running terribly when I went to CP a few weeks back - Taylor can back me up on that one. If it were running to its full potential, then it'd have been much higher. It's the coaster I've always, always wanted to go on since I became an enthusiast.

This might change later after more thought, but here's the top 20:

1. El Toro
2. Maverick
3. Voyage
4. Skyrush
5. Diamondback
6. Griffon
7. Top Thrill Dragster
8. Intimidator 305
9. Ravine Flyer II
10. Apollo's Chariot

11. Phoenix
12. Behemoth
13. Alpengeist
14. Fahrenheit
15. Wildfire
16. Shivering Timbers
17. Afterburn
18. Patriot
19. Storm Runner
20. Millennium Force.

So...

Ciall, you meant to post that as you. Right?
