I love it when I'm right!
And yeah, thanks Joey, I'll make a note of that. Too many painful woodies still
to do...too little time

If you do ever get around to it let me know. It's a short drive for me.

Predator isn't even rough, I don't get what everyone is on about. I realllly liked Predator, because it wasn't painfully rough and actually had a bit of airtime. Didn't it get retracked fairly recently or no?

You know how B&M hypers can have good days and bad days? Predator's the same. It runs from not bad at all to holy crap why did I get on this.

Storm Runner is awesome, you wimps.

This is entirely correct, so it gets posted again.

Agreed. Just prepare for the awkward tilting before the break run and you'll be fine. The Flying Snake dive is unique (obviously since its the only one in existence) and offers some nice hang time if you include it with the heartline roll. Top it off with an intense 2 second launch+top hat and Storm Runner makes its way into my top 5.

Anyone with a coaster count that is predominantly from this area:

yes my MS Paint skills are superb, please hold your accolades

By simply measuring his top 30 you can easily tell near where he lives. I did one for Bizarrofan and one for myself so that it isn't just a one shot coincidence. It's rather easy to tell where someone is if they haven't been to too many parks just by locating their favorite coasters, it gets even easier if you locate all of the coasters they've ridden (again unless they've been to a lot of parks unlike ECG, Gavin, RollerMonkey, and company).

S6fLw.png

the locations (general) of my top 15 coasters. By using this it shouldn't be too hard to judge that I live in the area between Washington DC and Philadelphia, and that's only because of the parks locations. If I used my entire Coaster Count and the concentration of rides it would easily change that to the state of NJ (which I used to live in Ocean County, not too far from Great Adventure). Now that of course is now sort of a lie since I have moved down to Northern Virginia, but I'm still within a reasonable drive of most of those parks (by reasonable I mean a full days trip from 5am to 11pm).

Bizarrofan is a little odder but still holds true:

If I had his full Coaster Count it would be a lot easier to judge where he lives, but with the concentration of his top 30 I'd say he lives in Philly (yes I saw his location on the forums, I'm wrong).

If anyone else has a rather small coaster count (above 70 and below 300 would be great) I could probably locate them, too.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm now probably on a watch list for online stalking.

That still doesn't answer my question. I'm asking what states people consider the Northeast. Where I am people consider Ohio the Midwest and Maryland is the south. I'm asking what people outside the obvious Northeast states consider the north east.

That's just creepy. I live in CT and have travelled as far (for now) as 10 hours east to Ohio and 10 hours south to Virginia. I have flown to Florida and will fly out to California next summer......

As for my full coastercount, just check my sig. You already stalked my profile to get my location.......

Not a whole load of difference really, as anything below my top 6 is just a bunch of random coasters which I remembered really enjoying at the time of writing this list... Next time I write it I might remember something particular about a different ride. :p

Shambhala comes in at my number 5 spot, and Oblivion also makes it into my top 20 as I've never come off it without a huge smile on my face! Shambhala also made me remember how much I enjoyed Raging Bull, which I feel is a hugely underrated coaster.
