It's mainly just the wheel assemblies.

^^Double the amount of wheels and articulating wheel assemblies allow for greater roll rates and transition abilities. The restraints are also slightly different, they connect at one point on the floor instead of 2.

There is likely quite a few more differences in the underpinnings of both rolling stocks that we can't see serving functions that we might not even be aware of. As for how they feel...I have a sample size of one for the latest generation so I can't answer how they feel compared to each other.

Both trains feel the same to me. The restraints themselves aren't that different, but the new gen trains look a lot better running around the track!

^GCI just re-tracked it... It won't get RMC'd anytime soon. All they need to do to fix that ride is to give it Millennium Flyers and get rid of the trims on the first drop.

But this is off topic. I'm getting ahead of myself.
