What's new

Which will be the first SW to be removed?

Yeah, Knott's springs to mind. King's Dominion like I mentioned. King's Island. Cedar Point. Discovery Kingdom (soon). The Disneyland Paris Resort has two, again, like I mentioned. Great Adventure used to before they got rid of Chiller. They're not everywhere by any stretch of the imagination, but, having two launched coasters is totally realistic in a park of Alton's size. And given its unique restrictions, it would make a LOT of sense. A launched Wing Rider, for example, would be absolutely perfect. And awesome. A Maverick-esque coaster would be absolutely awesome as well.

It would have nothing on the stupidity of Canada's Wonderland getting another, just taller, B&M Hyper, for example. And it's no different to how loads of parks have more than one wooden coaster. Or more than one family coaster. Or more than one "standard" B&M that does loops. Or Great America having two Wild Mouse coasters.

too MANY 'Launch' coasters in one park could become a problem

The key word i highlighted above is MANY, I never stated that more than 1 is too many, I would actually say 2 is fine and would compliment the park well as long as its vastly different to Rita. But then installing 3,4 Launch coasters may cause them an issue unless you can actually vary them to the point that comparisons are not made. Cedar Point do this very well with 3 launches however this is 3 out of 17 coasters and they have a huge height ceiling to play with ensuring a completely different ride experience on each coaster, AT do not have that luxury.

If Rita was to go first I can see it being sold to Pleasure Beach.

Why?..........

I don't personally see that happening, And my reasons are simple, PBB isn't a million miles away from Alton Towers so most people who visit Blackpool would have probably already ridden Rita so it wouldn't be a massive draw for them, Arguably you could say the same for Infusion/Traumatizer but PBB already owned it. And secondly i think Amanda has far to much class to buy Rita, PBB prides itself on being unique and nostalgic (except from Infusion, for again the above stated reason) so yeah Amanda i think will give us something special for her next coaster installment, Something new to the UK, something Fab *crosses fingers*
