Sadly this is wrong. Yes the new coaster at the Prater in Vienna has the project name Wiener Looping, but this has nothing to do with that old Schwarzkopf coaster. That Schwarzkopf coaster will stay in Mexico and the new coaster Prater will be a Mack Big DipperIt's interesting to hear that the famous Schwarzkopf "Wiener Looping" shuttle coaster, also known as the "Bullet," is reportedly leaving Mexico and returning to Europe.
I don't know what the current construction progress is of Wiener Looping. But when i was in Vienna 2 months ago, footer construction wasn't even finished. I think they stopped construction because of the summer holidays.I'm wondering about the opening day of wiener looping as I'll have the opportunity to pass by Vienna in September. RCDB still lists September but I couldn't find any recently put out information that would confirm this. Anyone who've been to Prater recently?
There is supposed to be some replacement for "Super 8er Bahn" but no further details at presentRCDB says there's 2 due to open in 2025 - https://rcdb.com/4926.htm - but this is the only one I've seen discussed. Is there actually 2 being constructed?
Starting to look into when to visit next year, obviously dependent on any new creds being up and running.
It looks particularly good with the white supports too - the contrast is great. We now have a track in a gorgeous shade of red
