WTF Merlin?

When I was a ride op at Lego 10 years ago we would only get payed until 45 mins past ride close regardless of what time we actually signed out. Because of that I’d always hike the advertised wait time higher than I knew it to be in the final half hour so I wouldn’t have to do unpaid labour. I was never encouraged to be mindful of fasttrack sales though when calling through queue times, that’s surely a myth.

Universal and Disney often do this as it's better to queue less than expected than more. Fewer complaints and happier people. Different companies could have different goals in mind for this tactic

Sick of them not having a backbone and blaming every U-turn on a 'trial' grow some balls and admit you can't make a decision.
Absolute jokers

Don't wanna become a regular poster to this thread but Merlin are the gift that keeps on giving.

Bluey was closed the majority of today, as Its believe it cannot run in the rain this is after an incident where it slipped on the lifthill. Did see a video of it but cannot find it for the life of me.

After 13 slipped down the lift and crashed into a train in the station a couple years ago how did they not see this happening?
But also how does every other park seem to operate tyre lifts with no issues?! (in 13's case the tyres were too far worn)

Frankly it's a joke

How can a park in the UK buy a coaster that cannot work in rainy weather? These decisions are so baffling to me. I am sure they could just place some sort of cover structure on the lift hill to prevent tires from getting wet.

No other operators have issues with Zierer family coasters so god only knows

Attention Freestyle drinkers!
If you like your freestyle drinks to be over 10 weeks past it's best before date then you're in luck!
Someone left the maintenance window open while I was passing, I had a look and at least 6/7 were passed best before.
After E Coli being found in these machines last year I think I'll give these a miss for the rest of time, not that I'd spend that much on drinks anyhow...

I don't think they're maintained by Merlin at all, it's my understanding that they're fully maintained and stocked by CCEPP themselves, and that Merlin staff are not supposed to touch them. At least that's what my own CCEPP rep claimed, who also covers Towers.

Guess that makes it alright, then. ;)

Exactly. Merlin are a big company they don't need sympathy. They signed the contract. If it didn't require the product to not be gone off they are to blame. Assuming it did, they are to blame for not enforcing it. Honestly why is anyone trying to let a massive company off the hook for serving out of date products on their premises.
