I can agree with you there on that one - Icon is awesome and better than Blue Fire although both seem different to in terms of layout.

I'd say Blue Fire is more of a looping launch coaster than an airtime one.

The only thing Blue Fire has going for it is the last inversion. The rest of its layout is inferior to Icon.

I agree – Galactica is my favourite flying coaster.

And I have ridden F.L.Y., as well as Tatsu and Manta.

I'll be trying Flying Dinosaur for the first time next month – will be interesting to see how it compares.

Update: Galactica is still my favourite Flyer. Even after riding Flying Dinosaur.

Now another (I think) uncommon opinion from my Japan trip:

Steel Dragon 2000 is better than Hakugei.

^ I vehemently disagree, but I think that is the point of this thread...

I can get why someone might prefer Galactica over Flynosaur, as Flynosaur is exceptionally intense and maybe slightly nauseating. But why Steel Dragon over Hakugei? I was not immensely impressed by the former.
