I visited the park yesterday. It was a sunny, hot Saturday on a holiday weekend. Crowd levels were low. It was busier than my visits to Lost Island, but still empty enough to get a few zen rides on the coasters. The only wait was a few minutes for Soggy Logger, which seems to have pretty bad capacity.
The parking situation is not great. The general parking lot costs $30+tax and is a 10 minute walk along the road to the entrance. Parts of the walk feel like walking through a construction site. There are no sidewalks and no shade along the walk.
Things do improve once you get inside the park gates. Shade structures cover many of the pathways. There is still some active construction, mainly around the relocated Fun in the Sun coaster, but it at least feels like an open, functional park. Only a couple of rides were closed, including Retro Rambler (might have been open at some point but was never open when I was in the area), Spindletop, and Medusa. Circuit Breaker and Palindrome both seemed to be running reliably yesterday, with each running two trains despite being walk-ons.
Staffing levels were surprising high given the low crowds. For example, Circuit Breaker had four employees checking restraints. I guess they’re staffed up in anticipation of the F1 race coming up in a few weeks. Staff seemed very enthusiastic, though still learning their jobs.
Overall I spent an enjoyable 6 hours in the park.
