    Great metal bird

I'll be flying regional jets in about 2 years. I have one more year of college and then I'll work as an instructor for another year to gain flight time. I absolutely love flying, its my passion, but it feels great to be back to CF again. It feels like Im coming home after a long trip. More pics!!!

What is the most overrated and underrated coasters

Riding a stand up coaster is just... awkward. If you stand in line long enough and your legs hurt its disappointing when you finally get to the ride and you realize you have to do a work out on the ride too! The restraints dont hurt, its the ride design mostly. Ive only been on 2 standups but...

    New Roller Coaster Concepts

A few years ago I can across these old ride patents. The space rings on track thing has been thought of before. My guess is it never happened for some practicality reasons. A coaster car like that would have to be very very heavy. That could create stress fractures in the car, the track, or the...

    Great metal bird

Haha, well, aluminum IS a type of metal. Although, some of our other planes are glass fiber and carbon fiber composites. Theyre the great plastic airplanes. Some more pics!

    Great metal bird

I spent 3 years away from this community, but I did a lot in that time. I did the hardest thing Ive ever had to do in my life, become a pilot. I moved to florida so I could do my flight training. I have flown all of this state and georgia too. I'm based in daytona beach, but I am close enough to...

Son of Beast to be dismantled for further development.

Re: Son of Beast to be retracked by GCI? Sorry, 2 admitted not 2 fatal, I remembered it wrong. But I have been watching news reports of that ride where they interview people in the park, I've never seen guests so afraid of ride safety. I know there have been fatalities at places like the...

Son of Beast to be dismantled for further development.

Re: Son of Beast to be retracked by GCI? They werent just injuries on SOB, but fatalities too. The news did seriously over play this particular accident. However, the GP do have the memory of a fish, it is possible the fear has passed. Life might be more like RCT than I previously thought...

Son of Beast to be dismantled for further development.

Re: Son of Beast to be retracked by GCI? Disney is different. People pay almost $100 just for a one day, one park ticket at a disney park, in florida anyway. Its unbelievable. People seem to have selective memory, they block out all the bad stuff that happens at the "happiest place on earth".

Son of Beast to be dismantled for further development.

Re: Son of Beast to be retracked by GCI? Even if they did retrack SOB and the ride was reopened I dont the GP would even ride it anymore. They were so scared by the derailment many GP have stopped going to the park at all. Its probably in their best interest to just remove the ride completely...

    Best and worst names

Apparently, cedar fair are taking a page from six flags' book, by ordering a few coasters a year to go to different parks and giving them the same name and themeing, even when the rides are different. I think "The Swarm" could have been cool if it was instead called "The Flood" instead and was...

Weird, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits Congratulations, heres a cookie. This element has always confused the heck out of me. Im still trying to figure out what they were trying to do. TOGO is just a mystery. http://greatadventurehistory.com/GAcoas ... 022093.jpg...

Six Flags New England |"Goliath"| Vekoma Giant Inverted Boom

Re: SFMM losing coaster, SFNE gaining said coaster Agreed. Dont forget SFGAdv, 3 (kinda 4) coasters lost and in comes a wild mouse in a box and a 13 year old stand up. SFNE need a few unique rides, not a pile of clones.

Six Flags New England |"Goliath"| Vekoma Giant Inverted Boom

Re: SFMM losing coaster, SFNE gaining said coaster I dont understand. SFNE has a boomerang and an SLC. In a way, they already have Deja Vu. The last 2 coasters the park has installed have already not been small news. At this point, Id rather see nothing come to SFNE than more junk.

Most annoying thing at a park.

Oh damn it, I hate how queue stoppers is on there. Because sometims when I take pictures I stop the queue because Im waiting for the train to come around or whatever. Can that be forgiven? I really hate queue cutters, I even went as far as trying to keep some black people from passing me in...

Which one will break the 500ft barrier first?

I hope 500ft never gets broken. 400ft is a good size. Besides, the current highest coasters arent exactly reliable, could you imagine how a 500 footer would run?

    Arrow/Vekoma?

Theyre the same. Vekoma made the same track arrow did, and even used arrow made trains on their coasters. They eventually designed their own trains, which are pretty much the same anyway. Ive never noticed a difference in roughness between though. I have a feeling Jake that Vampire just aged badly.

    What's New on CF!

Updated SFGAdv gallery. I added some close up shots of Viper's and Shockwave's trains, in case you like that stuff. And also some other shots of other coasters, especially El Toro. http://www.coasterforce.com/Photo_Galle ... ctionid/98
