-1 of the inversions is a 'step-up underflip' which, according to the guy from RMC, is basically a barrel roll. (Into the turnaround)
-97° outside stall out of the turnaround
Once they run out of space I'd say. Phantasialand has to be creative with their space because they don't really have any. (Most) American parks however have plenty of room to work with and because of that might not always choose to do it the hard way.
Now a few questions pop up: 1. What park will this go to first. (Apperently Vekoma already sold one. Source: 'Vekoma has already sold a copy of Thunderbird. "But we can not say anything about the customer yet", says the information officer.'
And
2. Why does Vekoma consider this a family coaster?
So many people are hating on this but I think it really fits with the park and it's audience. The old 'realistic castle' style just doesn't fit the Festivalisation which Walibi is undergoing. (I really like this new way of theming btw).
Also, whether you like it or not is something else, but all...
This is, in my opinion, one of the most exciting things going on right now in the industry! This could really make Vekoma stand along the well loved Intamin/B&M in stead of often being seen as a 'second class' manufacturer by enthusiasts.
Favorite: Lost Gravity's Zero-G Roll, DAYUM BOI that's some hangtime right there
Least favorite: Formule X's heartline roll would be ultra cool if it weren't for the fact it is as janky as a wooden vekoma SLC with zamperla volare trains
