If it's a Eurofighter, I'm giving up being an enthusiast for good.

If that's the attitude you have, I think you should just stop being an enthusiast now. Parks will always install the smart option instead of the option that we want. We are a tiny proportion of their gate figures, so they won't really listen to us and install a £10million when a £5million would do the same job in the eyes of the GP.

But why would Alton want two vertical drop coasters? I don't see what's smart about having two of the same type of coaster in one park. Also the GP would ignore Oblivion as there would be a coaster with inversions as well as the vertical drop.

^Couldn't agree more.

Something new. Nothing that could be compared to another ride at Alton Towers already.

If you look, I've already stated that in this thread (Or one very similar to this thread), so there's not really any point asking me that.

Now if they were to get rid of Rita for it I would agree, I have not been on Baco though yet but people dont even rate that high.

You are joking me right?

Yeah; a 9 is a low score  I think it is bloody brilliant so no complaints here :p

Rita is probably the most popular coaster in the park for the GP, it always has the longest queue, so she's not going no where until she is older than Corky probably.

^ Ever thought that could be something to do with capacity, I've always thought Nemesis is most popular...

Or is that just me... nah, I head staright to Oblivion, don't know why, it never has long queues

Depends whether you believe that poll that they had on the site last year and Rita came out No. 1.

Either way its irrelevant really, the matter of the fact is Rita isn't going to be removed for a very long time yet.

OK, I'll take this short(?) and sweet(???!). Elimination method:

WingWalker - They have Rita, drains power, requires a very large area.
Any Mega/Hyper/Giga/Strata - The Ropers.
Eurofighter - They've got Oblivion, Thorpe/Oakwood/Adventure Island has one.
X-car - Launched could work. Though Drayton's got one, a Launched would be unique to the UK.
Floorless - Even Dæmonen is 28 meters. It would be tiny, and half the point of floorlesses is the height. Other Loopers face the same problem.
Terrain Woodie - Give the Ropers earplugs, then start. Noise is a problem (albeit small).
Anything shuttle - Needs height or a launch. Not likely to happen.
4-D - I admit. That was a joke.
Rita Expansion - In our dreams.
New and better Corkscrew - In our nightmares.
New, unique ride concept - Wait a sec! I forgot the Babycoaster!

Only because it breaks down all the time and the operators/hosts are so slack and sloppy at their jobs. You could easily knock off 25 minutes queue time if they were interested in the job at hand.

Oh and on the Vertical front. Disneyland Paris have 2 launched coasters, (Space Mountain, Rock n' Rollercoaster) they are pretty similar rides and yet they are both as popular as eachother so I can't see the logic in saying Oblivion would become quiet if a Eurofighter was installed.

But you would have 2 coasters that do the same thing in the same area, that would not work.

But a Eurofighter right next to Oblivion would be a good idea?

And as for a Baco? I'm sorry, but don't be so stupid.

Ben your right thought about that after I typed it lol, but in the tent they could probably get away with it.

I'm surprised not to see any speculation of a Gerstlaeur bobsled in here. It'd fit the bill perfectly. It's about the right height, cheap but offers a thrilling ride, and it has a family appeal to it.

Plus, we already know Merlin are in contact with Gerstlaeur.

Again, everyone suspects a coaster to arrive in the alloted space.
Think carefully about it, what's stopping Alton from going with a flat?

I really hope it is a flat, but Alton don't seem to like flats that much. The flats they have are either getting on a bit, or they're just recycled versions of older flats they had.

^ No not really, but I don't appreciate the way you speak down on people Steve. Don't you call any of us retarded or even question it, who the hell do you think you are?

Keep those comments to yourself because they read like attacks and you're coming across very arrogant.

Let us have ideas, let us speculate... It's a ****'ing discussion forum where we discus ideas and rumors.
