Blackpool Pleasure Beach | Icon | Mack Multi-Launch

What I am trying to say is don't compare two coasters that are clearly not on built on the same scale.
It doesn't matter about height and speed, it's about the coaster experience and you can tell that both Icon and Helix are going to deliver relatively similar experiences. So don't be having a go at people that absolutely validly compare them.

Yeah, I not coming at this as someone who has been on 500 rollercoasters. To me, it's same manufacturer, same type of trains, same type of track with similar banks and features. Once you really get into something these marginal differences must become obviously bigger, but someone like me sees them as comparable.

I don't like those trains. The only problem I have with this ride is that they worked on installing a great coaster but the theming and design seems to have been an afterthought (as shown by the fact they only appointed a design company after the ride was announced). So it all looks flung together and nothing seems to match. The pattern on those cars doesn't seem to be in style of Icon's brand or of any other coaster at BPB. Is it supposed to be a snake, or something? If so, where's that come from? It's just frustrating.

I probably said this earlier but I love the gold lapbar bars. Makes a nice change from the normal silver.

That's a :emoji_zipper_mouth:ing fountain isn't it?!

At least staff will get proxy revenge for you (and for themselves for the pay and hours) on the last day of the season by filling anything water-based up with washing powder. It'll be soapy heaven on Icon. The Log Flume used to look a treat!

I like everything else about the trains except the "brown bathroom tiles". Maybe there's something we're not shown yet about how they tie into whatever the theme of Icon is, or maybe I just don't get it. But it seems weird because everything else on the train looks gorgeous! I like the copper/gold bars with black cushions, the front mesh and the logos on it as well!

I believe photo 8 contains the water tub for a fountain...the low level crossover bit after the launch hill.
Bet there will be a few more yet.

I know it's probably not happening but I remember in one of the original concept art images, it showed sections of Icon (near 2nd launch) being over water.
