What's new
That slow roll right at the start looks kind of awkward and not much fun, and I don't know why it has to stop at the start of the first launch - to build anticipation maybe? I know Time Traveller does that too but I feel like it would be better with 2 rolling launches like Helix.
Anyway, apart from that it looks really fun, a great looking mess of track too.

Here are a bunch of awesome renderings (a couple have already been shown but they are that good looking who cares):-

Does anyone know the max height of the coaster? Also, this looks better than Icon and Time Traveler, even though it's stats aren't impressive.

This ride looks nuts! I wouldn't be surprised if it takes the Golden Ticket for next year, especially with RMC seemingly taking an off year.

All photos are by Carowinds/from the Carowinds media kit.

It looks to be a nice long ride which is great. However, I feel like the inverted tophat (?) will look strange with the inverted supports. Not exactly photogenic.
Hopefully they can step it up with the theming this time, Cedar Fair has proved they can and I’d love to see that in my home park.

Yeah this is the best ride of the year announced thus far. Definitely going to ride it next year.
Honestly I’m not too excited, I honestly think the 2 major Six Flags coasters will be better than this, but it still looks great and a solid ride to add to the depth of the park.

Has Steve Earle been confirmed as the ride theme song yet?

I absolutely love the look of this <3
Although I must admit, after seeing the leaked layout I thought it would be much more spread out, but that's not a complaint, I think this is great.

Looks to have some nice transitions and airtime moments but it's disappointing to me. The launches won't be intense and all the turns at the end seem to be lazily thrown in there. Also, two slow vertical loops seems bland. There's already the slow roll and the tophat. They should've had a snappy zero-g roll in place of the second loop.

I mean in what ways though? Maxx has the launch, yeah, but not much after? And once WCC gets fully fleshed out, I bet money most people won't be enormous fans of it.

Totally forgot they've done those humped LSM launches! But still, first on a coaster like this, hoping we'll have some good Skyrush/RMC airtime over that hill if it's going to be accelerating as it traverses it, should be an interesting experience in the least. The rest of the ride looks great too though! Those perfectly round loops have a sort of Schwarzkopf vibe to them, that entire second half looks to have the speed game on point, all in all it looks incredible!

Mack's kind of my first priority of coaster types to try right now so I'll certainly be out this way next year. I often see both Helix and DC Rivals ranked up there with the likes of top tier US coasters (Fury, Skyrush, 305, upper tier RMC) so I'm stoked to see if this might kick some more RMC out of my top ten and bring some more diversity there.

One other thing I noticed: There's a show building before the first launch and Carowinds seems to be completely pushing it under the rug. Like, aside from renderings it's like they're acting as if it doesn't exist. I feel that might be because of how out of hand the whole #WhatsInTheShed thing got, they want people to understand the product they're trying to sell is the ride and not the show building.

My only real complaint with the theme is that the Copperhead reference seems so random. With that station, that show building, and those cars, it's clearly meant to be a moonshining-themed experience, why the snake in the logo, name, and story? Just do the whole "run this moonshine through the smokies and watch out for the revenuers" gig, it's not been used on a coaster before and people are probably going to connect with that a lot more, not to mention it's what started NASCAR which is huge in Charlotte. It can't be because the theme isn't "family friendly" as Dollywood had a motion theater show with that exact theme a few years ago. I do love the whole "sweet old lady with the good jam is secretly naughty and makes moonshine" storyline though, I actually found that kind of funny.
