Original came from????

As much as I hate to say it, Screamscape. I guess someone went and did what folks did with Banshee, went to the appropriate place and asked for the blueprints.

Sighting a source is a huge pet peeve of mine, regardless where it originated.

Here we go again with the why have a giga and hyper in same park crap again...

This is how I read the blueprint.

Big-a$$ drop into a tall banked element, then straight into another tall banked element (possibly a Stengel Dive-ish element), then a medium sized banked element, then a tall 180 degree turnaround, then a speed hill or just a long valley, then another medium sized banked element, then a camelback, then a helix that looks to sit pretty tall above the ground judging from how the supports are made (it looks similar to MF's over banked helix, after the big airtime hill), then a camelback over the bottom of the first drop, then a low to the ground curve and finally a turn into the brake run.

Is anyone thinking differently?

Why on earth does it need to be original? How many Carowinds visitors do you think have ever been to Canada's Wonderland or even know it exists? Two totally different markets. Anyway Leviathan is fabulous, why is it a bad thing to bring that same experience to a whole new group of people?

I understand coaster enthusiasts less every day.

If this is the layout, Carowinds is back on my list. I love how it snakes around by the drop-off/pick-up lanes way behind the entrance plaza and then matches latitude with Intimidator's station at the turnaround. You'll hardly be able to look any direction in the park without seeing a giant B&M in the distance.

Looks like someone took the layout of Leviathan and pasted it onto a google maps of Carowinds. If that is real I will be disappointed in the apparent lack of creativity.
You're **** joking, right? It's VASTLY different to Leviathan.

A 2015 Carowinds coaster construction topic has been created in the roller coaster construction forum.

Please continue discussion of 2015 Carowinds construction there.

The filing for Fury 325 trademark could have been mere misdirection! That name does not go as well with the whole Roman Empire or similar theme seems to work best with the name, Centurion! Either way, I am anxious to ride it!

I cross posted some pics from TPR. There was an woman present at the park wearing a sting protection suit. They did point out they could not call it the Charlotte Colosseum, hmm, well the CHARLOTTLE HORNETS play there. Then I saw a poster with the August 21st date and saw HONEYCOMB in the background. Look closely below, see the honeycomb?? The B&M factory or whoever they contract here has orange track (Holiday World) and green mystery track which must be for Carowinds. I forget where this is in the USA. Anyone know?

After reading a lot of varying opinions (including that from Lance at Screamscape), it makes me wonder if there will be a shift in the naming/theming. With the clues in the press release about needing a big net and the fact that the color scheme seems to now be teal, I too wonder if they might try to team up with another local brand, Charlotte Hornets, and call it the Hornet or something like that. I can't imagine a Roman theme with a teal track, and, Cedar Fair does appear to be open to teaming up with sports figures and sporting brands (from Lebron to Earnhardt).

Thoughts? Of course, I will be riding it in 2015 no matter what, so it is just food for thought!

Quick question. If the new ride is either branded MJ or Hornets, do you think he would show up on the 21st for the major announcement?
