Is anyone starting to come around to my theory of this being Barichello's year yet. His time in practice 2 was a tenth slower than Rosberg in P2, on harder tyres when the track was colder.
He has to be favourite now doesn't he?
And as much as I think Lewis is a good driver i'm laughing at his inability to beat anyone other than those that don't deserve to be there (Piquet and Buemi).
 
I've already said that I'd like Barrichello to win, I think he deserves at least 1 World Championship.

But if it's going to be a Brawn to win the title then I'd still prefer it to be Button.
 
I think its a bit early on to be thinking that Brawn will be winning the World Championships this year. I know their form has been good since the launch but maybe their cars are suited to the Melbourne circuit.

Also I would be worried that after the first few races if they produce good results, the FIA ruling about the rear diffusers may mean their results up to that date being deleted.
 
Havn't the FIA confirmed its OK though?

But what I can see is other teams adapting similar styles to their own cars... and implementing better use of it too.
 
Still hard to tell.

The Brawn was the fastest car out there thats for sure. They were doing fast lap times when most people were sliding around, the car under brakes and corners is so stable.

Lewis was on a lap that was only .5 down at the 2nd splt but went wide near the end so he would have been about 10th.
 
YAY, I found a place where they stream up the BBC coverage, which means that I actually can watch it live.

This is going to be very interesting...
 
Best qualifying session in quite some time now, this season might be the best in several years!!

Wonder what Honda thinks now, when their ex-team is doing so well.

YAY for Brawn GP and Virgin

This is something I havnt seen for along time.
 
I am just in shock tbh how close the top 10 just were apart from the Brawn cars that are out on their own.

Ferrari dont look that great either but Mclaren bloody hell.
 
Eddie Jordan is a dick.

I do not think there is anything wrong with Lewis car I think they just want to save tyres for the race and will start him from the pit lane to avoid start line crashes.
 
I get a feeling that if Maclaren get the same type of diffuser as Brawn they will be in the mix with the extra 7/10 it gives.


But the cures system um Its still got to be seen if it is a good idea. Yes its an inovation but Indycar used it and dumped it asfter a short time. Maybe the years have made it better or maybe it will be ditched again.
 
And that, my friends, is how you totally shake things up!

Extremely impressive show from Brawn. (Could Branson have picked a better time to get involved!) Just where the hell are these times coming from? At points clocking 2 full seconds ahead of the Ferrari! Button is certainly going to be one to watch this year. The lap times that these guys are chucking out are bloody impressive, they are even faster then the best qualifiers of last years cars as well... (so much for slowing the cars down this year ay Max!)
I was saying a lot last year that Red Bull would be definately be a team to keep eyes on and they have shown it this morning.

Then we have our major players. Well Alonso didn't make q3 (awwwwwww, such a shame :p). Ferrari seem to be having a few problems and as for Mclaren... I am gobsmacked! I agree with Marc that Mclaren are saving tires for the race, which actually gives Hamilton that little bit more work to do to prove his critics wrong. He is always a competitive, aggressive racer, but if he can't get the speed from the car...

This year is going to be a very interesting Bond styled Martini me thinks!

(And OI Slayed.... I'm up too!)

Wow just wow we are in for one hell of a year.

Well done Brawn same engine as Mclaren.

I hope Button wins tomorrow.
