Just found this topic doing a search for a pancake day topic :lol:

So, out of interest, how many people are still using Google+ ?

I found it excellent for grabbing photos from ym phone and uploading them automatically. Worked much better than anything else on my Android phone.

However, they've changed the photo viewing system now and it's just ****. So really my last reason for usin git has pretty much gone.

Unless I want to read about how great Google+ is and how poor Facebook is, it's a useful source for that information... And pictures of cats and dogs. Who could ever get tired of cats and dogs on the internet?

Tried it deleted it.

What's funny is seeing people coming back on fb and twitter after slagging them off and saying google + is the way.

I just found it a place where android users slagged off anything none google.

Plus it was not a social site it was a grab news and silly things and share them.

I don't expect it to be around in 2 years. There are now more defunct users than active users.

What? There's no elitism on Google+, you must be reading a different site to me. Either that, or you're one of these dirty, nasty Apple fanboys! WITCH!!!!!!!!

It had the perfect opportunity to become a brilliant source for news and information. You have Twitter for quick catchup with people. Facebook for solid social connections and G+ for news, information and keeping on top of stuff in the real world.

Ruined completely by a huge number of Google fans who flood the streams constantly with pro-google and nothing worthwhile. I have a friend who uses it now for his blog posts and it's a superb medium for getting things across. Detailed items that encourage sharing and discussion, which has been killed dead by the people who champion it constantly, by constantly championing it.

It will be in a different form. Google are good at taking things apart and using what's good somewhere else. Anyway, I've never read anything other than Google+ has the entire world and all their cats as active members... Or do I need to find a different site for my news sources?

Well at least we can say we tried it lol.

It's not gone the way they wanted it to go. When you read stuff even people high up in google are let down.

And tbh I'm pleased people did leave fb for it as now I don't have their rubbish on my wall lol.

The thing is these people don't even realise they are killing the site. They don't listen and know best.

As I said ages ago the people praising it would have totally slated it had it been apple or Microsoft.
