Erection of the crane which will assemble the drop tower has begun. So won't be long until Highlander starts to rise up.

From today's Hansa Park newsletter, the first tower segment is on its way!

The park have also started a construction blog series on YouTube the first episode looks at the foundations for the tower and the new Nessie station.

The newest Hansa Park newsletter teases:
That in the next two weeks, Highlander should be upright and standing as an exclamation point on the Baltic coast. Of course, there is still a lot to do before commissioning. If we know more about that, we'll announce more in the April newsletter.

Nessie's new station remains under cover as theming work is well under way.

I think those are not possible because of the tilt-function, you could hit those iron bars quite hard when you drop while tilted
 
I think in this instance it might be a TÜV thing. Hansa are notorious for being well up on their safety codes etc. So it could be that the other style doesn’t tick all the boxes?

Potentially, but they also have a +200ft coaster with a reverse freefall lift, an inversion and that has lap bars soooooooooo ;)
