I bet Merlin have got some sort of new theming object with some sort of new gimmick to add to the ride.

Why introduce a spelling error? The ride's name is in German.

Can anybody explain the Statue of Liberty just randomly placed near Colossos? It just seems a bit out of place.

It just to stand in the middle of the lake and they re-used it for the "Land der Vergessenen" / "Land of the Forgotten" which is supposed to lock dystopian. The theming is very incomplete, so the statue looks kind of lost there. But remember the poem "The New Colossus"? It kind of fits, haha.

^I would assume it will stay Colossos, and Colossos: The Return is merely a marketing phrase.

Thanks @CSLKennyNI! Not exactly surprising that it will likely stay Colossos, but I know some parks have done this sort of thing before when refurbishing a ride. For example, I think Black Hole at Alton Towers was called New Black Hole for the first year after refurbishment.

So far no retracking work has actually taken place. The only construction work is on these new mystery foundations.

As far as I can remember from that initial video, they'll only retrack the existing layout with no additional iterations to it. However, I do think they'll be adding more theming to it to fit the new storyline.

I think an iteration is more of a repetition of something, like a repeated version.
Modifications would be my suggestion.

Either way, I think they'd struggle to make it a world's first. Personally, I'm hoping they make as few alterations as possible.

I must say, after a year of being SBNO, the track has picked up some pretty nasty rust. Hopefully the park makes it all nice and pretty by the time they reopen!
