Joined the hype club today.

Visually this is one of the most incredible rides/themed areas in the world. As for the ride, it still has that problem that every flying coaster does, where the riding position when flying isn’t the best. But the loading procedure is great, it doesn’t try to make you pass out, and as flying coasters go, it’s a really great experience. Taron still has the edge for me, but this is a great compliment and a phantastic edition to Phantasialand.

I have loved (and missed getting to last year with Covid!) the annual tradition of finishing off the year at Kings Island Winterfest. They have really improved the event year-over-year. And best of all, brought back Flight of Cheer! Which indeed! Is just putting christmas wreaths on aliens!

But the proper last cred was Mystic Timbers. I cannot underscore enough how it is one of the most hidden gems in roller coasters - riding it in freezing or hot weather, day or night, doesn't matter - it just hauls through it's paces. And as a perk for Winterfest - they deck the halls in the station to give it proper Harry Potter Christmas vibes.

Hi my latest credits were at the Walt Disney world resort here we go in least favorite forwards

Least

Rock ‘n’ roller coaster

This is a Vekoma launch coaster hitting speeds of up to 55 miles per hour and cycling through 3 inversions these being the only inversions at the Walt Disney World resort and I will say I found this ride fine I suppose, this is an old gen Vekoma so not exactly comfortable it definitely had some head banging. I was prepared for this so i put my head forward however I still somehow hit my head a-little but overall the layout was not super exciting and I did not really care for it t

Barnstormer

This is again a Vekoma however unlike rock ‘n’ roller coaster this is a junior coaster and I for some reason or another love this ride there is no reason I should but I do! This ride really surpassed my low expectations in force for a Vekoma junior And I would ride this over most junior coasters.

Seven dwarves mine train

This ride is yet again another Vekoma and I like this one quite a bit. This ride is fun because the cars swing it is not super intense or exciting but the cars add a fun touch that I enjoy. I do think the ride is a little over rated but I enjoy throughly

Space mountain

I do like this ride a lot space mountain has a unique feel to it that is beyond many other rides. It was the first ever ride to be controlled by a computer and is quite entertaining. Space mountain has two identical tracks one being about 10ft longer having a slightly longer turn and I believe a slightly larger drop. I ended up finding the alpha track ( the longer one) to be more enjoyable however this was my second this after seven days of under hyping it so that could be a factor

Slinky dog dash

This is a Mack multi launch, so forceless. All joking aside I enjoy this rides queue and theme which is quite fun and entertaining I wish a got a back row not a row three but it Was still fun and worth my time.

Big thunder mountain railroad

This ride is fantastic overall I got three rides and enjoyed it throughly expect my first ride which was not my favorite However the second somehow delivered a lot of airtime which was so much fun and overall was a superior experience and then my third ride was very lateral filled and fun the theme in queue and on ride made it my second favorite recent credit I got.

Expedition Everest: journey to the forbidden mountain

This yet again is a Vekoma and What is there to say about this ride, it is stunning to look at, a unique and smooth experience, tells a well themed story, has an elaborate queue, and still deliverers thrills better then almost any ride at Disney. This ride is amazing in the back and it is my favorite ride at the Walt Disney y world resort!

Freedom Flier (117) - Surprisingly comfortable! Not a lot of roughness and some fun forces towards the end.

White Lightning (118) - VERY GOOD. I went in with low expectations because of all the people that said it was ****, but I came out thoroughly surprised. Every moment that is supposed to have air has air, with many pops of ejector and some sustained floater. I swear, some people really need to lay off of this ride.

Sea Serpent (119) - Surprisingly comfortable!

Velocicoaster (120) - yep. yep yep yep. (Full review in top 10 thread soon)

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure (121) - Really really good. Perfectly smooth with a few pops of air. Launches are lots of fun, and this ride has lots of things up it’s sleeves. Don’t forget to push the purple button!!

Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster (122) - Weird fishnet lap bars. I’ve always wondered what that big empty last car on this and Hippogriff was for.

Glad you enjoyed VelociCoaster! Are you headed to any other Florida parks, or is it just Universal & Fun Spot?

It was originally just a universal trip, but I convinced my dad to make the short trip over to Fun Spot once we got settled in at our hotel. We’re going back home today.

I just got back from an Orlando trip. Rather than comment on all 32 new creds, I'll just do 1 for each park.

(176) Mako - I was really surprised by how much air this ride gives, especially for a B&M hyper. Every hill was pushing into flojector even in the middle seats (aside for the one after the mcbr which was pure floater), and then the speed hill was another step above that. My favourite coaster of the trip and my new favourite B&M hyper.

(179) Mine Blower - It's really such a shame as there are some smooth bits on this that makes it feel like a faster paced Twister @ Grona Lund, which I really liked, that really show how good it could be, but holy **** the rough bits are so bad. The front row makes the roughness somewhat bareable, but the it still just saps out any enjoyment of the ride.

(182) White Lightining - My first GCI since Wodan, and it's really fun. Not much more needs to be said.

(185) Velocicoaster - Given how much hype I had seen everywhere for this ride, the rave reviews, it topping peoples rankings, etc; It was the one I was most looking forward to for this trip and... well... it didn't quite hit. I rode it many times all over the train and different times during the day over multiple days, but something just wasn't hitting. It's still an incredible ride and the final inversion is one of the most insane things I've ridden, it's just there's something in the pacing missing that I can't quite put my finger on.

(189) Rip Ride Rockit - With how much hate this ride seems to get, I went in expecting the worst, and while it is rough at spots, I really enjoyed it, especially when I found out Muse - Stockholm Syndrome was in the secret song list.

(193) Space Mountain - I had seen povs of these rides for years and thought they were basically just some sort of indoor wild mouse or something, how good can the non-Paris Space Mountain layouts really be? Turns out, very. On my first ride I was pretty much laughing the entire time, I was just so surprised.

(196) Rock n Roller coaster - Not really much to comment on this other than Walibi really should consider putting a building around Xpress and making it indoors.

(200) Kumba - A ride I've wanted to get on for years given how much it gets compared to Dragon Khan and how welll aquanted I am with DK. While Kumba is so smooth, surprisingly so considering how old it is and when comparing it to DK, I still think DK is the better ride, it just has the better layout overall and the 2nd half is so much stronger.

Not enough to make a trip report (partly thanks to my stupid idea of going on a holiday and crowds were insane) but two new creds so:

Hagrid's Motorbike:
Surprisingly fun! I expected the ride would be OK, and more of an experience but it was shockingly good! Not that fast or crazy but its just enough that you notice, and I liked all the little launches was enough to always keep it going and feeling quick. The backwards part and drop track (which was a first for me) are nice touches. Of course the scenery and everything are bonuses. Very fun ride,

Velocicoaster:
So not sure I am totally on the hype train...it is deff not top 10 let alone a rival for top spot. But top 20? Yes. 15? Maybe we'll see come year end. That said great ride. First half was great, I think I was expecting Maverick so was a tad let down first ride but once I knew what to expect was very fun, good speed throughout and solid whippyness, good air moment. Second half was of course the gold, nasty air coming off the top hat in back and the whole circling around part was cool. The stall was a little weak but the roll, that **** was wild. At night this ride was especially sweet. Certainly unexpected for Orlando standards and deff best coaster in Florida (until I ride IG lol). Wish I got more rides (but no single rider line open and wait was 1.5 - 2 hours each). Look forward to more in the future.

Can confirm. A roaring #1, VelociCoaster is not.

(558) Iron Gwazi

First few rides in the morning were good. Incredibly good. But then I came back in the afternoon for some rides after it had warmed up. It was absolutely sublime. It has quite possibly the best pacing of any coaster that I've experienced. It just rips through every element with such insane speed. You are constantly going between strong positive Gs and ejector. The pacing is akin to Lightning Rod without the pain. It is completely mental when it's warmed up.

Yes, it's better than VelociCoaster. Yes, it's better than Steel Vengeance. It is the best coaster in the U.S. in my opinion.

Pantheon (256)

This thing gives Velocicoaster a run for its money. While Velocicoaster has the advantage of a bigger theming budget and a much longer layout, Pantheon takes advantage of its short layout by packing a bigger punch. Better air on the double launch, a more forceful first inversion and a much more thrilling second half really tie the ride together nicely despite its short length. Much like Velocicoaster, there really isn't a bad seat on the ride and even running in cold temps, the ride was still hauling major ass. For list's sake, I put Velocicoaster just ahead of Pantheon, but honestly both play to their strengths and weaknesses extremely well.

The Big Apple - Aka The Manhattan Express (540)

Just got back from Vegas where I just had to ride the infamous cred on the New York Casino.
It definitely looks the part, and is much taller than I thought, the lift hill and first hill are hidden around the back of the casino.

Unfortunately, even with the new premier trains, it's a horrendous ride, big jolts at the bottom of the drops, sideways shuffles and the most ghastly jank in the immelmann 🤮

It's also a eye watering $29 per ride, making it my most expensive single cred ever. One and done thank you.

Ice Breaker (257)
It was a cold day when I rode this. Crowds were insane due to Spring Break, but I still managed to get 7 rides in in various rows. There really isn't a bad row on this, but I did find the airtime to be better towards the front over the back. You get a mean pop of ejector going over the top hat in the front while you get some decent hang sitting in the back row. Still there are many fun pops of airtime throughout this ride. Waited about an hour my first ride, but a concert later in the day pulled people away from the ride so it ended up being a walk on in the evening and towards the end of the night.

Iron Gwazi (258)
I rode the original Gwazi around 10 years ago and it was easily the worst roller coaster I've ridden. Despite the new trains, the coaster was extremely rough to the point where it gave me a headache. In contrast, Iron Gwazi is one of the best roller coasters I've ever ridden. The ride is relentless from start to finish. Ejector is absolutely plentiful throughout the ride and the long, flowing elements allow you to really appreciate them for what they are. While everyone loves the death roll, my personal favorite element is the wave turn above the station. You get an easy 5-6 seconds of ejector in that element alone. I got 4 rides in despite the posted 2 hour waits all day (waited about 75-90 mins average). Two in front and two in back. I prefer sitting up front as the airtime is snappier, but the sustained ejector in the back really can't be beat either. RMC has done it again, turning an aging, awful coaster into something worth talking about for years to come.

Woo, Coaster 1,066.
Finally got around to heading over to Tampa and getting on Iron Gwazi (I was gonna be mad if I ended up on Pantheon before IG, haha)

Solid ride. Did a front and back seat ride.. liked the front better overall but the rolling drop is definitely better in the back..

Aw, nice. Coaster #1066. What Brits call the Hastings coaster. 😗

Tumbili (123)

This was my first freespin, and I rode it 6 times in a dead park. My verdict on this ride model? Yes. Very much yes. I had a couple of crazy rides where I lost count of the flips, but most of the time I got at least 4 flips. I have this at #16 right now. Ride this in the front car on either side for the most flips.
