Nürburgring | Ring°Racer | S&S Compressed Air Launch

Wow those guys work fast...I was at Nurburgring in July, and the coaster still had a quite a lot of track missing, including the top of a loop back. Looks like it'll be good though.
 
I'm going to the 'Ring tomorrow. If I find the time, I might be able to investigate. If it's open, I'll go on it, but I doubt it!
 
The video launch is nearly half speed (130km/h)!
At the moment they are doing some test rides!

I apologize, but I had to have 5 posts before posting links...I already wanted to post some images and links in August, but it hasn't been possible because of the newbie-policies!

It looks like there has been another set back. I'm not the best with German but after an online translation it seem there had been a pneumatic problem during testing yesterday involving a loud bang.

Nürburgring. The breakdown series at the Nürburgring tears not off. On Thursday again a loud bang shook the racing course at the Eifel - and again the new roller coaster was ring Racer of the causers. According to Nürburgring GmbH " it came against 13 o'clock to an incident during tests to the Pneumatik".

Sounds like thats the same problem that they had when it broke last time.

I wonder when the ride will be removed lol, or it gets run at a lower speed.
 
I have a feeling that Kingda Ka will be holding the record for sometime, and I can image this never working at full speed in the future, maybe the speed of a Premier LIML.
 
Those are some sexy looking curves there. They're not B&M, but hey.

It's funny how everybody in the building stops what they are doing to turn their heads when the car goes by overhead. :lol:
