What's new

New Nickelodeon Land for Blackpool

This has kind of raised my hopes ever so slightly at the new area. I wanna see the Spongebob attraction next, apparently it's been testing according to Mack's Facebook page.

Two Nick parks! Blackpool & Mall of America! There's going to be SOOO much advertising on Nickelodeon, Nick websites and lots of billboards in Blackpool for three months!

^ You'd be surprised how little Blackpool Pleasure Beach actually advertise in Blackpool itself. They advertise more OUT of the town, people in Blackpool know it's there, so what's the point in advertising there?

The only real billboard adverts I've seen of the park are in Central Car Park and attached to the buildings nearby the Pleasure Beach.

Theres quite alot of Advertising outside the park of Nickland. Also Pb have trams themed to advertise them I think.

Looks like rollercoasters being held up by Carrot Sticks. Also they haven't done much in re theming the Fruit Shoot.

They have 2 trams, apparently, they used to have 3, one of them was a Pasaje tram, which has now changed to "Ripley's Believe it or Not", last season at Blackpool anyway.

I am not keen on Rollercoasters coulor scheme look at this

Not very appealing imo

Urgh, that looks ****ing rank.

It's a shame, I quite enjoyed Roller Coaster. It had a fun, vintage feel to it.

I like the colour scheme (<3 orange), but... at Blackpool? Just not right, is it. Look's like an American park, which... isn't a bad thing, but... Just not at Blackpool.

I'm no fan of orange (the colour, the fruit or Jason), but I'm quite chuffed that they are blending it in with the Nickelodeon theme. They could have left it as it is to please the historians and traditionalists, but I think it would look too detached from the area.

Naturally, being CoasterForce, it wouldn't be right to post a compliment about Pleasure Beach Blackpool without slagging it off, so I'd like to know if a new fountain will be joining the line up. If not, I'm going to be very disappointed and will send Amanda Thompson a turd in a shoebox.

But yeah, there's not much we can really tell from these photos except that the attention to theme, or colouring at least, looks very promising.

Rollercoaster now reminds me of Kenan and Kell. Who loves Orange Soda? LMAO. It's pretty vile to be totally honest. But still, if they're going into details with painting and what not, I'm looking forward to seeing actual theming now.

I suspect that the colour isn't going to change the way the ride feels :p

I like the orange. It's bold and I'm colour blind, so it works perfectly for me. I think it fits in with the rest of the area and I'd rather have it Orange than rotting away unloved at the edge of the park. It's a great little "family" coaster and hopefully now more families will notice it and enjoy it.

I don't mean how it physically feels, but the visual aspect of a coaster certainly important (to me at least). You see, I think this ( http://www.rcdb.com/793.htm?p=9377 ) looks great and when you're riding it it does haver a nice 'feel'.

The orange seems to detract from that.

I quite like the orange actually. It brightens the are up a bit and makes the coaster look fresh and not being left to rot in the corner of the park.
