Phantasialand | Taron | Intamin launched

A new overview from rideonblog.com

Plus, these footers have appeared in the River Quest pool, possibly for the rumoured second coaster?

Does anyone know if River Quest is being re routed to interact and flow under Taron? There is a trench under the lower part of the coaster in the overview picture and im not sure if its an existing part of river quest, a new re routed part of river quest or nothing to do with it at all?

I have never looked forward to a POV more than I have for this ride. :) Cannot wait to see the finished ride. I love that photo a few posts above showing the whole layout and how its been squeezed in amongst the other areas of the park. That's probably what I love most about Phantasialand, how everything is so close, but one area doesn't intrude on another.

So the theories for the second coaster are sticking (for the time being) with a Vekoma junior boomerang. It makes sense but I still can't see how everything is slotting into place. The idea that the lift hill will go under the first drop of River Quest makes a lot of sense though considering they've just built a huge box around it. Some amazing goon (called Tobi) over on Phantafriends.de has been making an incredibly accurate CG model of Taron and the entire area. He's been trying to figure out the layout of the second cred and the two versions he has come up with make sense, they just don't look too exciting....

Oh I don't think it's been mentioned in here yet but there's a massive footbridge being constructed amongst the mess of track, you can sort of see it in some of the below pictures...

They've also been installing more sound barriers...

Thanks to the awesome peeps over at www.phantafriends.de

Wow, props to Tobi for taking the time to make those! I don't think the second cred fits in, though. I just don't know why...

The second version layout doesn't look too bad all things considered I think. Hopefully we can get something similar to that.

As for Taron, each photo update is more and more ridiculous and I just love it <3

Tobi's done a great job updating the model with every new update, it's really fantastic.
The issue with the 2nd cred theory is there's not really enough space in that area for the station, but if anyone can squeeze it in it's Phantasialand.

The park have confirmed on Facebook there will be two coasters in the area, called 'Raik', and it'll be a Family Boomerang.

That's about all I can work out from my limited knowledge of German. Would post the picture but I'm currently on phone. :p

Clever tie-in for the family coaster sharing in the layout - more so than naming a kiddie coaster [roller coaster] junior. So long as it doesn't interfere with the aesthetic of the main attraction, very cool!

AS much as aesthetically it looks amazing, I can't help but think it's not going to provide a great ride experience.

^Oh it will.

Just LOOK AT IT. As long as it's speedy it'll be full of twists and forces and pops of airtime and unfff.

I think it all depends on the train design, with lap bars and a good speed this will no doubt be amazing <3 That's honestly what I'm most curious about at this point, the damn trains.
