Port Aventura |"Shambhala"| B&M Hyper

/\ Would of thought the Park has copies of the blueprints/plans of Dragon Khan (all rides) & if not, they can easily get the plans off of any of the manufactures by just asking for them - they might have to pay for a copy to be reproduced, sort of an admin fee but they can get them if they wanted. Wouldn't really see it as much of an issue - even if Dragon Khan was built by another company other than B&M.

It's been snowing in Spain!

Spit it out, who the **** said it was going to ruin the view of Khan?

It might just be me, but it seems like the red on the buildings is a bit too intense. Maybe a darker or duller red would blend a bit better?

See I like the red, it is a good contrast.

In other news, looking into how much a ticket to Spain costs...still too expensive. Looks absolutely amazing though.

It'll go duller, that's the point. It will become sun bleached and turn more faded. It looks good the way it is, it gives it time to age.

Hmm. I was really doubtful about Shambhala's colors and integration into Port Aventura's landscape. Hopefully I was proven wrong :p ... This blanding of two B&M jewels looks damn attractive !

I always thought it would enhance the view, and just look at that picture. It really does look beautiful. I was dubious about Khan's paintjob at first, but now it's all together, it looks incredible. From certain views, it really does look like a mountain range behind Khan. Such a simple idea that works so well.

Som more pics from today:

If you look closely inside the queue building, you can see the railings waiting to be installed to make what will apparently be a huge cattle pen...
Note the bridge structure connecting the queue building with the station.

Pieces of themeing for the splash section and drop tunnel.

Besides, Dragon Khan will be closed tomorrow (Sunday 15th April) until the opening of Shambhala. Test dummies have been installed on at least one train and tests are expected to start as late as next week.

Always exciting to see the water dummies out! I'm really looking forward to seeing this roll out of the station for the first time, methinks it'll look rather graceful around the layout :p

The train's colours are the same as Velocity's at Flamingo Land. Infact they're the same two colours as pretty much everything in Metropolis at FL. Looking great anyway! :)

Some pictures from PAC enjoy,

.

As you can see in the last picture It looks like the pieces of the Buddha are all ready to be put together and painted gold. This will look so good when It's all finished, I can't wait for June now.

The station is far from finished though,

Yay for on-ride cameras? Meh, each to their own I suppose.

Wow, that bridge connecting the cattlepen of doom to the station looks really odd, not sure if I like it. Still sounds like testing could begin soon which is good.

It's looking decent but I think the whole "plaza" thing looks rather cluttered. Granted I've never been to PA, but what I can tell from pictures it looks like they're really cramming this thing in there. I'm still under the opinion that I really wish they would of figured out another layout for the ride - to if anything - provide a bit of assemblance in the back section of the park. I look at these pictures a bit confused - but I'm hoping for the best with the end result.
