Good to see some serious progress being made on this. Hopefully it will be ready for testing very soon.

Does anyone have any idea on an opening date for this yet? Their website just says "Summer 2012".

If it's any later than 7th July, I may just have to kill somebody...

It's Tragic Mountain.
When it opens, it'll have a 6 hour line.

Good luck with that.

(My ex-wife waited for Goliath on opening day for 6 or 8 hours, and was almost in the station at 2am when it broke down and they kicked everyone out of the park. When we went back and waited another 2 hours, she was understandably disappointed.)

As far as ride experience, we all kind of know how it's going to feel. But the extra 100ft or so (that's more than what a lot of us would be used to) height, will certainly make a big difference. Ok, I can kind of see the problems they're going to face with throughput now too. This is going to need to have a pretty nippy ascent to be able to counteract the sheer amount of people that are gonna want to ride it.

Oh, and it has Skyrush style overhead lapbars, so not only is it the tallest and fastest drop tower in the world but it's also the only one I can think of besides some really small ones (less than 50ft) that has lap bars. I'm **** bricks just thinking about it.

Honestly, I feel like this is the first time I've REALLY wanted to get to SFMM. This thing just looks like the epitome of drop towers. Ridiculous.

It'll be scary, just like most other drop towers. But from what I've experienced so far, the smaller the tower, the better (I'm looking at Venom <3).
