SFMM Colossus Iron Horse renovation rumors

Can't wait for the announcement. I love colossus but every year I ride it, it's getting pretty bad. I personally love the coaster it's original but people being all Winnie's poor coaster is all lonely there. I always see people head straight to scream instead. All in all making it longer and smoother now your talking.

Just burn it!
Do what Jeffery Thompson did with the Fun House at Blackpool Pleasure Beach..... If it spreads to Scream, it would help the theming!

No bull! If that was to happen I think scream would be a even more fun ride. Lol.

You are probably going to get real mad at me for saying this  but Colossus DESERVES the Iron Horse treatment, the layout is fine and RMC shouldn't touch a thing about it but it would be amazing if it was really steep and a little bit of a bank on some places and totally get rid of that brake run. The wood could use a repainting too. But Rolling Thunder needs the Iron Horse thing more, so it might not happen this year.

BTW the Iron Horse treatment makes the ride way more popular.

We are just losing all are classics...

Lets also remember that a ride being a classic shouldn't mean that we should keep it around just because it's a classic. These rides become exponentially rougher to ride and more costly to maintain as they age. There are even a lot of ACE Coaster landmarks that should get the axe.

I agree with Wildcat because it a complete pile of ****. However, Colossus is really smooth and I see it as underrated. I think that the RMC treatment would make it better, but I kinda would miss the old Colossus even though it probably is a liability in terms of maintenance.

I would not put it past Magic Mountain to give Colossus the same treatment that Great Adventure will be giving to Rolling Thunder.

I HIGHLY doubt that rolling thunder will be getting the iron horse. They said it would be removed. If it was going to be an iron horse, the. Wouldn't SF have said "and we will be converting it to open in 2015" I think rolling thunder will be gone for good. And let's just say that it was going to be getting the treatment. Are they just suppose to let the coaster sit there for a year without anyone noticing that they haven't removed the ride?

You completely missed my post, read the news report for Great Adventure again and come back.
