Shock: Launched X-Car-Coaster - Rainbow Magicland, Italy

There is a topic for the park as a whole in news and rumours but I thought I'd create a construction topic for the main coaster they are building. It's a new launched X-car coaster by Maurer Söhne.

Construction is apparently complete and I suppose they will begin the work on the theming soon.

I think it looks quite cool. I'm still not a fan of those non-looping vertical loops but I've been on their launched X-car in the Netherlands and it was great fun. This also looks absolutely huge and I hope there is a mass of air time on that hill, definitely one to watch.

Is it possible that those brakes could actually be LIM fins for an upwards launch? Just an idea.

I'm also not a fan of the non inverting loop. I think Hollywood Rocket's looks much better because it twists in the same direction. The layout also looks shorter than I suspected.

They do look slightly like LIMs, but it's hard to say... I'm just expected people to react by yelling "TRIMS!!!! THIS RIDE WILL SUCK!" at the top of their voices as I found this pic on TPR :lol:
 
See, the coaster at this park I'm most excited about is the indoor spinner, if they theme that as amazingly as the rest of the park it will kick ass!

This looks cool though, I've yet to ride a good one so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.
 
They actually look a bit more like an LSM/LIM strip. They are normally white cased, like this.
 
Rainbow Magic Land? Sounds like it belongs in china.

Also, why would they need to launch a ride directly into Trims (except for formula rossa) it doesn't make sense, it might have a launch system similar to wicked with 2 parts.

That turn after the loop is going to be pretty intense!
 
Is it just me who thinks this looks ugly? The non-inverting loop does my OCD in because it twists back the same way, not to mention that hideous final corkscrew...
 
Apparently, according to their FB page, the new photos they've uploaded of this area and ride, they've mentioned "Steam Punk" and linked to the genre on their page. I hope to go it is themed to Steam Punk <3
 
If it is anything like the one at Universal it will be fun but nothing great. I hope they include the sound system if not I am not sure what people will think tbh as that makes the ride at Universal a lot better.

Looking forward to it though.
