Small News From The Theme Park Industry

A heads up to anyone planning a trip to Parc Asterix. Be careful buying tickets online!
Park officials filed a fraud complaint with French authorities, claiming fraudulent ticket sales sites have victimized the company. Since Christmas, park officials have noted an increase in visitors coming to Parc Asterix with invalid tickets. Through an information technology investigation, park officials discovered over 10 sites selling fake tickets that mirror real ones. Parc Asterix officials urge visitors to be vigilant and ensure they only purchase tickets through the park's official website. Source

Further update from the park's Co-Founder, Arun Chittilappilly on LinkedIn. Seems the last pieces of track work are now in place, just a few final alignments to complete the track.

The Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland shredded its annual holiday overlay today and revealed a new Black Widow Bride. The new storyline turns the attic bride from an axe murderer who beheads her husbands into a brooding bride mourning their loss. The new bride features a beating red heart, flowing gown, and a grief-stricken look on her face, and appears to levitate in front of a shattered window while holding a three-pronged candelabra. Riders can hear the sounds of her beating heart and see flames flicker on the candelabra as they pass through the attic scene. Source

So basically back to the pre-2006 storyline but with updated effects. WDW still has the axe bride, though.

Taking this with a grain of salt however the Huss Instagram account has posted on their story that another Huss Jump2 (Sledgehammer at Canada's Wonderland) is coming to a North European theme park in the near future following a story about Toxicator at Towers.

I'm assuming this is Scandinavia or the UK and Ireland although if this happens, Europe will get a unique flat ride. 🤔

Hmm 🤔 I don't think that's going to fit on that site and it could go above the Towers treeline.

Thorpe Park Slammer site for 2026? I've speculated either a Gyro Swing or a Top Spin, that'd be a good replacement for Slammer.

Although I'm surprised to hear the news and am quite sceptical that it'd be UK, I'd be thinking Scandinavia in somewhere like Liseberg.

Good point about the height and size! It seems like a very Liseberg ride to be honest, would go nicely with Mechanica and Loke!

Just ignoring the EU flag and assuming it means Europe as a whole? I'd say it can't be the UK because we were dumb enough not to be in it.

Also counts out Norway.

Whilst that flag is the official flag for the EU, it is considered a flag for the whole of Europe rather than only the EU so can safely assume it counts UK and Norway. 🤔

We can safely rule out Iceland though (EU or not), they have no permanent theme park over there 😜

I'm here for the resurgence of HUSS, please be somewhere I can visit relatively easily

Bayern Park will be the next park to add a Wild Swing to their lineup in 2025
