I dont know why people make such a big deal out of coaster names tbh.
Is the ride good? yes or no so the name adds nothing, its just a name. Why is Ninja called Ninja, it has nothing to do with Ninja's does it?
At least the name relates to one of the biggest money making franchises ever and not one that is just about over.
The new film will be a huge hit, why? well its Terminator and just about everyone who liked the films will see it. The new coaster is just advertising for the film nothing more nothing less.

Its going to get called just Terminator anyway. No-one'll bother with the full title. It'll be the same as Nemesis Inferno, or Mr. Six' Pandemonium (until they actually shortened it), so there's no point worrying about the title really. At least its a tie-in with something soon-to-be topical, so it will be relevant.

January 17th, 2009 Update!
So I get a call from GCI yesterday "Terminator has gone VERTICAL! Go get pics!" And of course since I always do what I'm told, I now bring you a new Terminator construction update! Yes, the ride is now vertical! YAY!!! I'm told that about 70 bents will be in place by Monday and a lot of progress is going to happen very quickly.
Here are the photos from today:
"Please excuse our mess - the Governator will be arriving soon!"
Ahh, looks like one of the older structures at the park, the shooting gallery, has been removed to make way for...OMG...what is that I see?
YES! Terminator has gone VERTICAL!!!
Makes you wonder if these structures may not be around much longer now that we know a Cold Stone is going in at the front of the park and there has been the hint of new bathrooms on the horizon.
This view will once again have a wooden structure behind it soon!
Bents started going up on Friday, and here is what has been done so far.
As you can see, it's Saturday, and bents are still being put up.
They put this one in place while I was here taking pictures.
Ahh, those little blocks of wood make great merchandise! Just stamp the Terminator logo on it and you've got something that every coaster enthusiast will buy just like Holiday World and other parks do! (hint, hint) One man's left over wood is a gold mine to coaster geeks!
Internet world, meet Mr. Small Crane...hopefully we'll see his cousin Mr. Big Crane in some future updates.

Yup, the back area of the park is looking wooden again!

Hmm...bents being prepared to go up, or alien spaceship landing spot...you decide!
That's a LOT of popsicle sticks!
I like how it just looks like a "pile of bents" just thrown there! LOL! (We see you nice and newly painted Deja Vu!)
Here's a nice overview of the vertical construction, the alien landing pad, newly painted Deja Vu, the pile 'o bents, and lots of popsicle sticks.
GRRR!!! A spaceship had landed and taken off and we *just* missed it!
Goodbye shooting gallery! Hopefully this area will eventually be the new entrance to the Terminator ride. I think that would be awesome!
You can really see how much room is already opened up and how much more room could be created if the other two buildings came down.
Hmm...eventually cables there?

Today we were able to go backstage to get a bit closer to the latest progress. Here you can see the turn around from last week is nearly done!
Those popsicle sticks have finally found their place in life!
The ride is coming along VERY fast. That's quite a bit put up just in the past 7 days.

Hey! What's that peeking through the trees? I see wood!
If you look real hard you can see the Terminator!
Here's that turn from last week. Looks about the same.
But here's a close up because it's awesome.
Maxim sponsors the crane!
The real work this week has been done on the "deadman turnaround" which will be near the station.
This will be the second highest spot on the ride.
Here's a slightly different angle of the "deadman turnaround."
Wow! The animatronics are looking AWESOME!!! =)
This part of the ride will be connected to the first drop.
And yes, Terminator is now changing the back of the park!
Ahh, once again a woodie takes over the back corner of the park!

The Frog Hopper was next on the agenda...
..and as you can see it's KidTums APPROVED!!!
Canyon Blaster has recently changed it's height restriction, which is fine as these things happen, but parents please take note....
...because there is no sign out front to tell you this and the first time you see a height restriction sign is AFTER you've already waited in line! Hopefully this will get addressed soon.
At the park entrance, if you need your exercise, follow this sign to Batman The Ride, if you want to get to the coaster quicker, go the opposite way! =)

Here is the Aerial view as seen by the Cyberdyne HK Drone (aka Sky Tower View)
Looks like this turn is fairly complete and ready for some track!
Here you can see the dead man turn...not too many Popsicle sticks left laying around now!
Remember when that whole back area was filled with Popsicle sticks just a few short weeks ago?
Mr. Big Crane is lifting another bent into place.
It's cool to see how they are working on two sections of the ride at once!
I see some steel has been put into place for some of the cross overs.
How about a nice closeup of that overpass?
Another look at the Dead Mans Party Turn, Deja Vu featuring DJ Jazzy Jeff and some fresh paint, and a little cameo by Mr. Big Crane.

From the midway, Terminator is really taking shape!
Each week the wood seems to get more and more dense.
Terminator only went vertical just under 1 month ago and look how much is already done!
Cyberdyne Systems crew is inspecting the ride.
There's that new brand spanking new bent going into place!
I have a feeling there will be a pop of airtime here!
The Dead Mans Party turn almost looks bigger than Deja Vu! =)
Looks like that alien transmitter has been covered in wood! Those Cyberdyne drones know how to disguise themselves!

GCI never fails to create a good looking coaster, I just hope that SFMM do something about those large concrete areas, since that just looks foul.

February 21st Update!
Mr. Six is BACK!!! That's right! Today's update starts with something more important than Terminator...the return of the old dancing guy and I have to say I'm glad to have him back!
Anyway, on to some Terminator photos! It's a Saturday and these guys never get a day off...it's because they are ROBOTS! Duh!
You wanted sexy curves? You got 'em!
The bottom of the structure sure looks dense! I guess it needs to be with the California earthquakes.
These two sections keep looking better and better.
More Terminators hard at work.
You can easily spot the Terminators since they all wear bright orange vests!
