The only problem with the Battlefield 3 demo is that it's very cluttered in terms of visuals and it can be often hard to spot an enemy soldier. I've also been annoyed that you have to unlock weapons and add-ons, when I think it should just give it all without this. Would make for a much fairer level playing field I think.
The map is just long and frustrating, but great at the same time! With it going from very open to very narrow then back to open it makes for some great fighting. I'm still looking forward to it, as it will still blow CoD out of the water.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. Having to unlock weapons in a demo is just a pain in the arse. I've played it a bit more today and my opinion is changing. I enjoyed it much more today than I did the last time I played it. Maybe I just ended up with a **** team last time. I'm looking forward to it more now, it's definitely grown on me. I agree that it will blow CoD out of the water though. I also think it will be a really fun game to play with friends, as opposed to just running round on my own.
 
^ That friend or squad way of playing is what I enjoy, me and my best friend play it a lot and often work together to try win the game. We both have different styles of playing, he's more gung-ho while I'm more careful and methodical. Most people on Battlefield are quite good and don't camp too much, there are some, yes, but usually it's dealt with quickly.
 
^ Yeah, I suppose that was the best part about playing the CoD games. Whenever I used to play CoD4, we'd always play team tactical, as it meant it could just be three of us on a team. Made it much more enjoyable.

If I actually buy the game and get playing with friends I can pretty much guarantee that my opinion will completely change. And I'll love it. There do seem to be a lot of good players on the demo though. I always seem to do shocking at the side of them :lol:
 
I've spent most of the weekend with my heart in my mouth playing Ico, I've not touched SOTC yet.

I need a sofa though, I'd give somebody elses horse for a sofa sometimes!

The Demo for Forza Motorsport 4 drops today (for gold members) and it is 100% amazing.
 
I cannot wait to get my hands on Forza 4, I have the limited edition on pre-order. I used to love Gran Turismo but once I gave up on waiting for the PS3 to be released I went with Xbox and obviously had to sacrifice ever owning a Gran Turismo game ever again. Then I fell in love with a new car game. Forza 2 followed by Forza 3, which is my most satisfying 1000g I posses, everything about that game was awesome, I still play it now because I enjoy creating vinyl groups painting the cars.
A little while ago I had an opportunity to play the new Gran Turismo, which I took, and for me personally it sucked If I would have never found Forza then perhaps it wouldn't have?
Bring on the Forza 4, Its my second most anticipated game of this year behind Madden 12.
 
^ Forza is the only game (series) to really make me think about getting a 360. I don't have the time or cash to buy across all the platforms though, but to pick up a 360 for £100 and play Forza and maybe a couple of other games is a little tempting. I just know that most of the time it would sit unused though, and I don't have £100 to spend on that.

GT5 I found really hit and miss, but it's just a massive grind and full of silly little bugs. I dislike the fact you really need a wheel too to get anything from it. It's no secret though that I prefer a semi-arcade racer like Grid or Shift.

I played GT5 for about an hour when I got it, and then just went back to Forza 3. Forza 3 is what got me into Le Mans Series and stuff alongside F1, and it's the reason I went to Le Mans, so I'm rather fond of it.

And the new one is looking to be even better!

I've got the demo downloading now, so excited <3

It's the same for me, I love racing games. I'd love to play the Forza games. I just can't justify spending that amount of money just for one game though.

See, I do like GT5, although recently I haven't played it as much as I used to. Like you said, there are loads of silly little bugs in it (which are slowly being fixed to be fair. Although it's been out almost a year now, and there are still a few daft things). But then again, I do play with a wheel. Maybe that's why I enjoy it more.

My brothers fancying a new console (he seems to be a bit bored of the Wii). Maybe I can convince him to get a 360, then I'll buy myself Forza 4 for it :p
 
Forza is pretty good, I'm really enjoying playing through Forza 3, but there's something it lacks.

I've got a massive crush on the Dirt games, and maybe I just miss the stunty/fun element of it that Forza just doesn't have. Plus the damage is ****. Dirt and Grid's damage is lush.

That's about all I care to contribute right now. :p
 
I loved Forza, I loved buying the cars, doing them up and racing well. But I felt in some races that I just won too easy? I was on Hard mode as not confident enough with switching gears to leave it on manual!
 
I've been racing with manual. Once you've got the car to the best it can be in it's class (which is fairly easy considering how much money you win), then the races can be a bit easy.

Not quite got the courage to do the manual w/clutch yet though. Did a few drag races with it, but can't imagine cornering too! :p
 
I only like racing games where you fly around at extremely high speeds, shoot the **** out of other people with missiles and mini earthquakes and are made by a company that used to have a logo with a little owl in it.

Haha, I could never do the clutch thing with a controller. I just couldn't get my head round it :lol:
 
^Like I said, I worked it out for the drag racing. It's kinda logical, much the same way it works in a car (automatic single clutch type setups), but it's just a mother-bitch to do when cornering too!
