The Games we play...

Well spent ages downloading Tomb Raider to find it's the one I have lol.

Gt6.

Started doing the 25 min races on the super license. Why does it always have to rain, and why can I not make the wet tyres last more than half a lap? So I've been using dry tyres and have lapping faster than the others on wets, it's not easy that's for sure but it's more fun.

Not a fan of the drift stuff they added tbh, either they have got drifting right and grid2 is totally wrong, it's bloody hard. It's just not my style of driving as I've said before, I keep wanting to correct the slide lol. Id put my money on gt6 getting it right tbh. I do like the way the cars react to setup changes, put in different turbos and you can notice the car act totally different.

Getting to the stage where the game needs more content now, more races to use the £2,000,000 as there are not enough.

I was thinking "I'm sure this is the one Marc was playing when his drive broke on his PS3"

Yes it actually blew up the ps3 in the end, 1st the drive then the orange light of death.

It's a good game just wanted it to be a bit longer.

Unlike the uncharted games the ending is worth it.

Shhhhhhh... I still have a good few hours to play it before I get to the end. It's very good, but it hasn't blown me away like the first Uncharted did - it's a bit more generic and I'm getting tired of how many time Lara can fall through things, slide down rocky cliffs, get beaten up, etc and still not have skin torn through down to the bone.

I know it's just a game too, but you get into fights over and over - getting shot by bullets and arrows, attacked by knives or blown up. Then you have one of those annoying quick time events after a cut scene where a pebble will fall on you and kill you. Invulnerable unless you miss pressing triangle in time

It also feels "larger" than the last one and all the Ayrton Senna McLaren stuff so far has been fab. Can't wait to unlock more stuff!

The other problem is when people claim to have played and used the Senna Mclaren cars that simply are not there and have never been there. This caused me to spend hours trying to find where it was.

Maybe they took it all out after announcing it wouldn't be arriving until May?

Yeah, I jumped the gun a bit with that one after playing for half an hour and being given the option to buy Ayrton Senna's overalls and drive around a white and red Gran Turismo branded fake F1 car. I should have posted a few days later at my disappointment of a lack of anything else.

So I tried Octodad: Dadliest Catch. The mechanics are seriously simple and the gameplay is fabulous. I couldnt stop myself from laughing as I moonwalked down the aisle at the chapel since I had gotten myself turned around in the previous room.

I seriously cant wait for this to come out now for the PS4.

octodad is one of the games I need to play. At the moment I am doing my own minecraft project on ipad if anyone wants to join PM for the seed.

Yeah, looking forward to Octodad :)

Also looking forward to this very muchly:

I was a massive Carmageddon and Carmageddon 2 fan - played both for multiple hours because I'm a sick and twisted individual. Can't wait for a modern version.

Octodad looks amazing. Plus it has one of the greatest in-game songs ever:

Started playing Candy Crush for the first time. I meant to try it out a while back, but never got around to it. So far I'm already addicted. Can't believe how many levels there are...

2048. It's a fantastic game app. You have to match two same numbers by sliding them into each other, starting with 2 2s, combine these to make a 4, another two forms, slide the numbers to form another 2, make another four, match to make an 8, then 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 and finally 2048. It sounds simple enough but it is very hard thanks to how the 2's regenerate after each slide. My high score is 7000. Download it and join in!

There's a 4D version that can be played here if you really want a challenge. I've beaten the game a few times but it's just so much fun to replay and try and do it again.

Pes2014 was free on ps+ so installed it.

What a pile of **** it was like playing a game from 20 years ago.

They do not even have the proper team names.

Now uninstalled.

^ PES only ever gets licenses for about 6-8 big name teams and the rest are unlicensed so they have to use fake names. They got away with it for a while (from about 2002-2007/8!) because the gameplay was far superior to FIFA's but now the gameplay is ****, the teams are unlicensed whereas FIFA kept its licensing and massively improved it's gameplay.

In other news - The Last of Us Remastered is coming to PS4 which includes the left behind DLC - awaiting a price for it but will most certainly be picking this up (I've been massively hinted that I may be receiving a PS4 for my birthday, I'm going to be disappointed now if I don't )

I did my usual "£50 of PSN credit for £25" thing and had a bit of a blow out on the Playstation Store (especially with the sale being on).

I picked up Trials Fusion, which is pretty much the same as the previous Trials games, only with a little less character to be honest. I find the games fun in a "repeat until controller meets screen" way until the last couple of sets of levels and then it just becomes so hard it loses all fun.

Still, it's £15 for a good few hours of fun. Doesn't look great on the PS4, just kind of shinier version of Trials Evolution on the 360.

Also picked up Octodad - Dadliest Catch on the PS4 and it's fantastic. So many wonderful meme, alt-culture and game references hidden through it it's wonderful. The game is ridiculously hard though, but so funny to play as you get frustrated with it. Very witty, brilliantly pieced together and completely ridiculous.

Then I grabbed Luftrausers on the PS3/Vita. It's a simple little fly/combat/arcade game, but there's a bit of added depth to it with upgrades that alter the way your plane flies/shoots/handles so there are a lot of combinations to make things just right. It's old school stuff, but great for under a fiver.

Considering the cheap Star Wars Pinball tables for the PS4 too. I find I keep heading back to Zen pinball time and again for just five or ten minutes on a table here and there - so I might buy them, but I don't know if I'll get the £8 (for 6 tables) worth or not. Probably over 2 years maybe

I've still got PS+ stuff to play and complete, but luckily I already had Puppeteer (I hope everyone on PS+ got it and is enjoying it? ) and Everybody's Golf on the Vita. Stick it to the Man on PS4 doesn't appeal to me (MMF likes it though) so I've got a month to try and find some time to complete Bioshock Infinite (or decide it's rubbish) and to enjoy some of these little games.

I tend to like the smaller games as they're suitable for MMF and we sit and play together - which is nice :)

I downloaded the demo of Trails Fusion the other day. It's so much fun, frustrating, but fun. I loved how it came up with how I was doing compared to you and Big John (btw, I beat you both on those courses that came as the demo (I should add it took me a long time to do so :p )). Still not sure if I want to buy it or not, I fear I may just get frustrated really quickly and give up soon after paying out for it.

I tried Zen Pinball which was ok, nice to have a game in 3D (which is super effective) but I found another pinball game on the Playstation store which I find even better, feels like I'm playing on a proper pinball machine, it's amazing.

I also downloaded the latest PS+ game which I can't currently remember the name of. It's actually good fun and I love the style of it, it also uses the motion pad on the controller at times which is nice.

Just bought AC4: Black Flag. So far so good. I also preordered Destiny which is suppose to be the game of the year.

I downloaded Warframe and got somewhat addicted with the game. Eventhough the game itself has no storyline, the missions are fun and thrilling. Pretty cool game.

I thought Warframe was okay, but it's not really my thing.

That's my issue with it. For £15 it was okay (I did a trade in so it kind of wasn't). I tend to get about 10-15 hours in and then find it too frustrating/hard and give up. I might have to go back and beat you though :p

The thing is, 10-15 hours of gaming for£15 is actually pretty good, and it's mostly fun ;)

Yeah, I can't remember the name, but they take real life tables and have incredible physics engines to make them spot on.

My issue is that I'm not overly keen on real pinball  Zen Pinball takes the concept and while it keeps it close to being pinball, also makes it a "computer game". It's the fusion. The Star Wars tables are good and the Plants Versus Zombies one great too. When you learn the tables and learn how to unlock minigames and stuff, it makes sense to "not be pinball".

But yeah, pinball fans adore the other one :)

Stick it to the man (If only I'd written that in the last post I made :p ). MMF loves it, I hit a platform bit and hated it

Marc - Senna Lotus and Senna challenges at the end of May. I think it was the 26th or 27th.
