The Intimidator. B&M Hyper 2010 - Carowinds

You'd be surprised UC. I got some significant pull in the latter half of Diamondback.. and I've heard Behemoth is exactly the same. These trains do something to the ride.. make the crappy floater which we recieved on earlier Hypers obsolete tbh.

I think this won't be as good as DBack, but better then most B&M Hypers out there.

I feel that something should be said about enthusiasm here. We have a picture of the second largest coaster being built worldwide next year, taken at one of the best angles and times there is: Against a pink and orange sky, coloured by the sinking sun. It's almost finished, the cranes tell about the activity going on on site, where everyone is working to get the ride up in time, and to ensure it will be a fun and safe experience for the riders.

What's being said about the picture is "it will not give air!" "Yes it will!" "It won't be as good as (coaster X)!"

If I ever come across this picture again, taken without the cranes and when the coaster is running in the sunset, it's a surefire desktop background for me. It's a lovely picture.

When all that is said, I can comment on the hills. That second drop looks really awesome, and I think I see a headchopper just under the big parabolic hill. It's a bit hard to tell whether the track is in front of the support or not, diving under a brace or just passing behind it. The air, however... won't be as good as old ThunderCoaster.

That's one of the things I like about this coaster (compared to the one at KD, for example). This baby stretches from the front to the back of the park. It starts near the Nighthawk entrance, then makes it's way past Afterburn & back again without long stretches of nothing (like the Ride of Steels). Of course I like 'floater' & believe that every coaster doesn't have to be a Boulder Dash, El Toro, S:RoS/Bizarro or Maverick to be great.

I agree that there will probably not be a lot of strong positive G's, but...

I know I'm going to enjoy the partial or negative G's that it shold provide.

I don't need to have my ass kicked by a ride to know I'm on a coaster. Frankly, I think NOT having my spine realigned while on a ride is a good thing.

Judging by Diamondback's and Behemoth's hammerheads, this one is going to be just as good, maybe even better.

I still think that the last 2/5ths(don't ask) leaves a lot to be desired...

I saw a force graph somewhere around the internet about Diamondback having ejector around -0.6 in front and rear cars, and about -0.3 in the middle, which seems to go along with what everyone says about them having ejector, or at least more than the previous model B&Ms.

I prefer B&M Air-time.

It's not as mental, but it lasts for ages! I love floating. I'm not bothered if this ride has intense negative Gs, I have alot of trust in B&M.

But it's all down to personal preference I guess!

Ugh...everything is just soooooo drawwwwwwwn ouuuuuuuut. For those of you who don't understand how B&M's parabolic floater hills work, here's your chance to take a good look.

I know how the parabolic hills work, and I think you were the one who explained it, and we also know you don't care for B&M floater. It's just enthusiasts being greedy, saying it's gonna be crap because it's not gonna be like such and such, or it's not gonna have amazing ejector. I don't care, personally.. Diamondback and Behemoth are both in my top ten, and they both have the parabolic hills, yet they still give an amazing ride. You can`t expect you be thrown out of your seat on these.. And any enthusiast with sense will not be expecting that as they board this ride.

Honestly, Taylor, I can't tell if that was some kind of attempt to put me down, or you just felt like seeing yourself post.

It wasn't at all! I'm just saying, I hate when people say "oh it's not ejector, thus, crap".. Or saying what is gonna be bad about a coaster instead of just enjoying it for what it is. Not all coasters are gonna be enjoyable, but come on, it's a big addition, be grateful! :p

You don't have to suck every new additions ass simply because it's new Taylor. We don't work for the park.

It's obvious what Taylor is getting at. Not all coasters need to have ejector air to be good (and they don't) and this is something big and needed for the park. Why complain about it not being unique? You don't have to kiss its ass and 'appreciate' it because it's new and the gp will love it, but over-analyzing the layout and how much air-time the ride will have, before even riding it, just ruins the fun...

I do agree with UC that it looks very drawn-out and B&M could have made something better (though I wouldn't expect them to), but I'm sure it'll still be a great coaster (and I know you never said it wouldn't be).

Jiminy Xmas. If I need to read this much bickering, disagreement and snootyness, I can break out the old ninjaproxy and read TPR.

I'm starting to wonder if the crew drives to SC, puts up a few pieces, drives to VA, puts up a few pieces, repeat.

Also, why the heck did they go back to this webcam? It's nowhere as 'good/useful' as the one down where the work is actually happening.
